Name. Nisroch Mishikhtu
Nisroch is quite small in stature compared to the average wolf. She would appear even smaller if it weren't for her legs, which are incredibly long in comparison to her torso. Likewise, most other appendages on the wolf are disproportionate to the bulk of her body. Nisroch's ears rise prominently from her head, and her ropy tail hangs low to the ground. She is a strange sight to behold, nearly comical and by no means threatening, and her other features do nothing to subtract from the strangeness of her proportions.
The creature is slender-built but padded with lean muscle; after spending her days failing to gain any fear-inducing bulk, she has resigned to the fact that she has to rely on speed and endurance as opposed to raw strength when threatened with violence. A coat of white stretches across Nisroch's body, obscuring the muscle that she does have and giving off an illusion of fragility to the casual observer. Nisroch's fur is as thick as summer pond slime, and she seems to get lost within it during the colder seasons. When she neglects to groom herself for a long period of time, her fur gains a sickly yellowish tinge from the build-up of oil and grime.
Nisroch's facial features are delicate as her frame appears, studded with eyes dark and wide as polished coals. Because the dark brown of her irises can barely be differentiated from her pupils in bright light, the creature's eyes seem to be voids that emotion can't enter. Her short, rounded muzzle seems similarly disaffected, and her mouth rarely strays from its resting state unless she is speaking. Nisroch always seems to have a dazed, lost expression, regardless of how she's feeling.
Nisroch is a neurotic creature. She interprets the events around her as significant to her own life, regardless of how related they are, or aren't, to her. She feela a strong 'interconnectedness' within the world, which often causes her to connect things that don't necessarily fit together. On the other hand, her strange perception of the world allows her to see the big picture of a situation. Unfortunately, Nisroch also happens to be an incredibly paranoid wolf, so the events she falsely attributes as meaningful may spur her to feel that somebody is conspiring against her.
The wolf is intensely private and finds it difficult to give out even insignificant information about herself to anyone who isn't closely associated with her. However, she fashions herself an amateur detective and will dive head-first into any form of 'mystery', real or imagined, that comes her way. Nisroch is a collector of knowledge both trivial and important, ranging from gossip to the health of the bobcat population. Whether she gives this information freely as a matter of whether or not she believes the knowledge can somehow allow the reciever to control her.
Nisroch is neither introverted nor extraverted; her level of social energy is heavily inconsistent. At one moment she may not bear to be alone, and a moment after she might want to crawl into a hole and hide away. Under some circumstances she is simply indifferent. The animal, despite her paranoia, is capable of making friends (if anyone would care to befriend her) to the point where she may even excuse them from her whisperings of betrayal and conspiracy. Nisroch relies heavily on first impressions when initiating relationships; she largely bases her new connections upon 'how she feels'. While it is difficult for somebody she impulsively dislikes to overcome this impression, it's quite easy for a new friend to fall out of favor if Nisroch captures an inkling of conspiracy.
Storytelling is perhaps Nisroch's favorite activity- little gives her more pleasure than weaving a story for a group of peers. Of course, she usually makes sure that the story is completely fictional, or is based on a piece of gossip that has no relation to her. Hunting is another passion; although Nisroch doesn't have the build to bring down bigger game, she has the speed and endurance to hunt with nearly feline-like agility. She is a bit of a hoarder and usually likes to take a trophy or two from her kills, resulting in a massive collection of bones and fur wherever she lives.
While Nisroch is heterosexual, she considers herself genderless. This contrast makes it difficult for her to initiate or respond to courtship, and even if somebody does show her interest, she'll most likely believe it's a trick and push the suitor away. Of course, because Nisroch lacks any form of feminine grace, or even any masculine brawn, even a hint of courtship is an extreme rarity.
