Year Six
Season: Winter      Month: December

Breeding / Birthing: Year Round

There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

The black male was shouting at them, Risa hates being shouted at. She stayed quiet instead of making an immature remark, but still she glared at him for being so harsh. "Not that I'm complaining nor anything, but you can leave if you wish..", she offered him. She knew they needed him as well as her, but his help would have been futile if they don't cooperate right. Risa can already just tell that he wasn't exactly the friendly type. She whimpered as the pain in her head boomed even more. It was like bombs falling and exploding in her head, get stronger and stronger with each boom. She would have gone to follow him if her head wasn't so aching. She heard him command the feline pest again as she flickered her ears. She knew she'd be amused from the cat's irritation from being ordered by a wolf, but she didn't show any expression because of the pain. She heard that he must stop them if the other three wolves fought, but she decided to take in his place since there wasn't a good chance that he'd succeed in doing so. Even when she went to rest beside the tree and with all the pain, maybe she could just hear their growls and dart right at them to knock them down with her head. That could stop them and maybe help relieve a bit of the pain in her head. Good thing she seemed so much older than most of them, and inherited her ancestors' great heritage

"Why are they shouting so much?" her mind whimpered in the darkness. Where was she? Was she a pup? Was this darkness the den? No, then den was never this dark, the shoutind just seemed to echo more in her ears and the darkness made her think that maybe she was dead. No, if she was dead, there would be no shouting?

Her eyes cleared, the light returned and she was back in the clearning with the wolves. The remains of two rabbits lay discarded, and the Autumn wolf seemed to have gone completely crazy. "I am sorry," she whipsered in horror as she realised that the rabbits blood had just made the symptoms worse. Probably because they were infected too, she didn't understand why her blood had calmed her.

The black wolf was leaving, saying something about herbs. Annoyingly the cat that had attacked her was back, although he now seemed a bit worse for wear. "He is infected too." she realised as she watched him chew on the herbs. The Black and White girl had slunk away to lay down, she seemed to suffer from a headache although she clearly wasn't infected like the others. "Maybe her blood." her mind whispered and she growled and shook her head violently, No! The violence had to stop.

She dug around for some more roots like she had seen the cream girl do and ripped up a few more roots. She dropped them in front of the cat. "These seem to help too." she muttered around the roots in her own mouth. She really did not know what else to do now, the black wolf had wanted them to stay here while he went for help. Her head felt fuzzy, she chewed harder, the roots were starting to splinter away to nothing, so she dug up a few more for herself.

The wound on her leg had stopped bleeding, although she could still smell the inticing smell of blood. She needed to get rid of the smell, it was only a matter of time till the smell would make her hungry again, and she really didn't want the others to attack her again. She picked up a scrap of the Tyme and chewed it, then spat the green mess on her leg. Hopefully the strong smell would help mask the blood.

"Wolf howls." "Wolf thinks."

Golden Cat
"You want me to babysit?" Abiola growled at the dark wolf. He was seriously considering attacking him when he left, and Abiola was left to glare after his dark form.

The cat's eyes turned to the other wolves, and he lay in the dirt with a sour expression on his face. Maybe he could just watch them tear each other apart. Certainly, he wasn't interested in diving into a pack of fighting mutts unless he could dive in to get a quick, and free, amount of that delicious blood. His stomach grumbled at the thought, but since the autumn wolf's little crazy attack, he was planning on staying well away from...

Crap. Abiola realized he had eaten a rabbit already. Blood made things worse, after all. He examined himself briefly, looking back to the painful black marks on his legs, and then seeing how his stomach felt, and how dark his mind was. Naturally, he already wanted nothing to do with a bunch of mutts, and didn't value them as highly as any sort of cat. Even the soft house cats were better than a group of wolves or anything likewise. Still, his distaste for the mutts seemed to have grown, he observed. Probably an effect of the virus, he thought. It must, because of the symptoms, make him more aggressive. Still, he had composed himself well.

There was another brief moment of darkness. In his mind, another month had passed. And not only that, but he was acquiring a vague headache. A couple of the other mutts already seemed to have that. Thank goodness his superior lineage allowed him to delay the effects of this nasty virus. He was brewing in his own distaste so much, he decided to turn to the autumn wolf with a nasty smile.

"I hope you like tasting what you ate twice." He said with a purr and a flick of his large tail. Abiola suspected Cadmon's intentions, and would be sorely disappointed if he didn't come back with a whole mouthful of yarrow.

Still, as the cat still sat there, chewing idly on the root he did not thank the mutt for, Abiola was slowly realizing something. He felt better, not worse! The black marks were still a pain, but his appetite was slowly returning. Slowly, his thirst began to wane away, and as time stretched, he realized the blackout before might well be his last. What was going on?

Fill yer well with truth.
Caprina watched as the strange black wolf trotted away from them. She pinned her ears down as the pain of a headache pressed in on her head. With the calming effects of the thyme she could feel some of the virus give way to her old self. Though the virus had less of a hold on her, her actual consciousness was still feeling a bit sluggish. She saw the pale wolf eyeing the black and white wolf with a thirsty wolf. Caprina knew that look and felt the same. She wanted to lunge at the black and white wolf and sink her teeth into her fur. The need was extreme, but the effects of the thyme thankfully dulled her violent intentions. She saw the pale wolf take some thyme and spit it on her leg. That was good. She could mask the scent of blood with that, but what the pale wolf really needed to do was eat the thyme. "Eat it. It'll calm yer violent urges," Caprina told her.

She looked at the cat. He seemed to be affected by it as well. He told her something about tasting her dinner twice. This confused her. "What do ye mean by that?" She remembered the roots in front of her and began chewing on another one, just in case she had another terrifying urge to attack the black and white wolf. She couldn't attack if she had something in her mouth right. The sane part of her mind began cursing herself as an idiot. She had wanted to help these wolves out, but now she seemed to be the core of their problems. That sane part also seemed amused that the crankiest wolf of them all, the black wolf, was just going to have to put up with them. She growled as the headache seemed to worsen. She hoped the wolf would come back with something to help.

Her eyes were close, she was lying on the ground, she's rest far from the others beside a tree! And still this headache has not left!? "Augh!" Risa stood up once more. The pain was seriously keeping her from taking a nap. This had to stop, she does not want it anymore! Risa had the same painful headache that wouldn't leave before when she was young, her aunt gave her the special remedy that kept her headache away for good. Her Aunt Petunia said that it cures most diseases, but it can only be used for special occasions. But Risa couldn't think of it, she just started hitting her head on the tree. As if it helped relieve a bit of her headache. The one good thing about the headache was that it didn't boomed quick like drums, it was slow yet stronger with each boom. Thud!,Thud!,Thud!! Risa just wanted the headache to go away, and never to bother her again. She smashed her head into the tree until its fruit dropped on Risa's head. Risa looked above her, more were coming down. With both her paws defending her head, five fruits fell directly at her. Each hit was like the boom inside her head, she almost preferred this. "Punyetak! Nakainis na ito ah!", she cried out. She hasn't used her primary language in a long time now, but the pain made her swear in that language. This headache is playing with her patience, and Risa could only hold on for so long. But now she can't hold on now that the headache is taking her patience away. Unexpectedly, and annoyingly, one last fruit fell right at her forehead. "That's it, I letting it loose!", she yelled out loud. So, out of pure frustration, she open the barrier that sealed her anger that she stored inside for a long time... She attacked the tree like a merciless murderer. Ripping and scratching the very bits of every last one. She released all her fury within, and struck at the tree she laid beside. She continued for long moments of time until she tired out and fell exhausted to the ground. The headache finally left again, but she knew it would come back. Risa needed more rest than ever. The marks and scratches she left on the tree almost looked like it was enough to timber the tree. "At least with all that anger inside me, it wouldn't be at them", she thought positively. Risa still had her brains working to know that. She turned her head to face them. She means no harm, but she wanted to see their reaction.
