Year SixSeason: Winter Month: December Breeding / Birthing: Year Round There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

oh sheese, my brain is dead!!
Lazy sage green eyes peeped at her surroundings, "I'm going to get fat and lazy with pack life" she mumbled to herself. After finding a pack Zitori had settled down, and not been doing a whole lot with her body. She got up and stretched, she really should expore her, and the packs, home range a little more.
Deciding that she needed some exercise she found her way to the top of the cliff above the falls. It was chilly but also gave superb views of the mountains. Snow covered most of the peaks that reared above her. She wondered briefly where the rest of the pack was, she really wanted to get to know them better, after all they were her family now.

Cold mountain air filled Hythyr's lungs. The months he had spent here had finally gotten him used to the thin air and the climate up in the rocky heights. Hythyr trudged along enjoying the sound of the waterfall. The muffled roar soothed him as he liked the sound of water in all its forms. The brown warrior caught the scent of one of his packmates before he saw her standing at the summit of one of the mountains overlooking the falls. Hythyr remembered her shying away from him a bit at the pack meeting. Was she intimidated by him? Hythyr didn't know for sure so he approached her from the front as to not surprise her. He smiled at her as he neared. "Greetings Zitori! what brings you here this fine morning?" Hythyr didn't know her very well, but he did know she was a fine hunter. Hythyr was always happy to meet those he was to protect and serve.

Scent of one of the pack drifted on the crisp air, although she saw him at much the same time, having approached her head on. "Hythyr." her mind recalled his name, that she had learnt at the pack meeting. He seemed a cheerful kind of wolf, strong, a protector and warrior. If she could blush she would of with the memory of the momentary panic she had seeing him for the first time.
"Greetings Hythyr. It is a fine morning indeed." she replied and shyly examinined him from this closer distance, scolding herself internally for ever thinking that this dark hued man could be the horror she imagined. "I was just getting to know the lie of the land. Thinking that maybe I should do some exploring of the pack territory" she contined conversationally. Apart from her momentary panic she decided that she rather liked the brown man, he seemed to be the kind of wolf one could trust.
"Do you have any suggestions of places I should see? Me being a newcomer to this land and all." She ended a little embassared. The pale lady with the cross marking her shoulders wasn't one to speak much, she wondered briefly where she had found the courage to say so much to one she knew so little.

She seemed a little embarrassed as the Alyxian warrior approached. Maybe she was a little afraid of him. She asked about the areas of Torva. Hythyr instinctively thought of his usual haunts around the eastern regions. "I like to hang around the lake. I find it to be a relaxing place, somewhere you can escape you troubles for a little while. That's one of my favorite places anyway. The woodlands are pretty nice too." Hythyr smiled at the woman warmly. "Would you like me to escort you as you explore? I know these lands pretty well now." Hythyr thought if she got to know him better she wouldn't be so nervous around him. Other wolves may find the idea of having the fear of others appealing but Hythyr didn't relish such thoughts, especially from one of his packmates. He would rather have their respect than their fear. He was a protector and wished to be seen as such. Hythyr wondered what talents the wolfess before him possessed. He decided to ask her. "By the way, What is your role in the pack? Sorry if I seem a little rude I'm just curious."
"Hythyr howls."

She relaxed a little as the warrior kindly replied to her questions. "That would be greatly appreciated, if you have the time of course." she replied to his offer of escorting her around, she didn't want to intrude oh his duties, but she also wanted to get to know him as she did all her pack mates.
"Fanul had intrusted me as pack troubadour. I.... sing mostly, pack histories and the like. I am endevouring to expand my singing and maybe learn a little dance to go with the song." She smiled a little, as singing was her true passion, the thought of singing to the sky spirits always filled her with joy.
A thought suddenly thought into her head, as she had been thinking quite alot about it without really realising, "Do you know about Zee? I mean he seemed very... agitated at the pack meeting." she suddenly felt foolish and self concious, she should ask about Hythyr, not the crazy Zee, but she just couldn't help herself, the mans ranting had stuck in her mind. "I mean, of course Fanul must have a reason for having him.... sorry for being so nosey."

Hythyr gave her a slight bow as she accepted his offer. "Of course! I'm not really all that busy right now." She went on and explained that she was the pack's troubadour. This drew Hythyr's interest. He like stories and songs and couldn't wait to her the ones that this lady had to offer. "A singer eh? That's great! I like hearing stories and legends!" She looked as if something had just occurred to her and then she asked about the strange man that called himself Zee. Hythyr frowned a bit at the thought of the violet eyed wolf. "Who knows with that man. He's not quite in his right mind.Apparently he's to be our explorer, but I'm not sure what Fanul has planned for him. I trust him though." He smiled again and wagged his tail. "I wouldn't worry about him too much though. As obnoxious as he can be he's harmless... mostly. Anyway shall we go?" He stood ready to take her to where she would like to go. He was rather excited to be able to guide someone through his homeland and to make a new friend.

The pale ladies jaw parted in a smile as Hythr bowed, "How gallant." she thought feeling a little amused, but the gesture also reminded her of how her mother nad father had always been curtious to each other, it only raised her opinion of the gentleman, "And to think you was afraid because of his fur colour." she mentally scolded herself.
She listened in interest to what Hythyr knew if Zee, and it seemed that he was pretty much a mystery to him also. "Well, I am sure Fanul must have his reasons to have Zee stick around." she said. "I think I should like to see the lake. It sounds like its a very beautiful place, maybe when we are there I could sing you a song." she said a little shyly. She didn't want to seem concieted, but singing for others would only hone her skills making her a better singer and story-teller. She wagged her tail, feeling rather happy and waited for the warrior to lead the way.

The brown warior wagged his tail excitedly as Zitori suggested the lake. As he had said, the lake was one of his favorite places due to its calm atmosphere. Hythyr enjoyed the cool breeze that normally blew over the water. Its quite being made it the perfect place to contemplate or, as the light colored lady had suggested, sing. He wondered what sort of songs she had to sing. She wasn't a native of Torva, so she probably knew of legends or melodies that Hythyr had never had the chance to listen to before. He hopped up and gave the woman a wry smile. "Shall I lead the way then?" He set of at a fast walking pace toward the lake looking very childish as he chuckled and swished his tail about as if something were tickling the backs of his legs.
-Hythyr exits-

"Lead on brave sir!" Hythyrs whole demeanor was so playful that she was totally relaxed now and followed him with a chuckle.
"What song should I sing?" her mind started to think over songs she knew, probably something light, maybe the lake would inspire her.
