IT'S ALWAYS THE HALOS AND THE WINGS THAT KEEP YOU BLIND
It was all happening again, but with a particular uncertainty that was salt in an open wound. Had Azren raped her or had Athena willingly mated with him? The thought of bearing yet another prodgeny of unwanted children was sickening. But one thing could come of it: her pregnancy meant that she wasn't too old to breed after all. But little did this Athena know that there was no mating at all. In fact, Athena wasn't pregnant, but the fact that she felt sure of it was enough to start the cycle of growing around an empty wound. Edgy, she trotted forwards.
Should she tell the pack? Should she not? For now she decided to lay low, there could not be too much that could be done, but with the war brewing between the two territories, it would best to keep the wolves' mind on the issues at hand. The journey from one mountain to another was not an easy one, and on more than one occasion, she had stopped to rest. She felt sure that she had sent another to do this task, but there had been no reports of it. It had to be done, and it seemed that sometimes the only way to get something done was to do it oneself.
Stopping at the borders, she lifted her head and howled, her scaly voice breaking and crackling a time or two. "I come to make peace!", her voice rang through the air. Lowering herself into a laying down position, she hid her belly that had not begun yet to burgeon with a child-less womb, waiting for some sort of leader, alpha or beta, to tie the treaty.
