ooc; Please post by 3/14 (PI DAY). The next round will begin then. If you do not post with your wolf or at least notify me of your absence, you might be removed from the ranks because alphas are required to do that activity check within the packs. If you have any ideas about task assignments, please let me know through PM or chatbox or IM or whatever. :) If you are new and are interested in joining Alyxio, feel free to post here. The pups are welcome as well!
Winter was in the air, breathing frost upon his pelted shoulders. This was a season to be wary of, for his bright fur made Fanul an easy target to spot for larger predators. But he had nothing to fear, for the mountains were safe, and he had a whole pack of wolves behind him in the event of an intruder. Furthermore, Fanul was far too bold to hide, to disguise himself; he would much rather focus on speed and strength in a battle. As advantageous as camouflage might be, it was simply not his forte, not by nature and not by principle.
He had admitted many a wolf into Alyxio, eager to see what goldmines of potential he had discovered. His intuition was keen and Lady Luck often favored the fox -- it was evident, for in his youth he was a reckless lad, wild like the wind and yellow lightening. And yet, in this leadership position, he had matured. He learned about life and love and how the minds of wolves churned, cogs turning and rotating. He learned about responsibility, a fell determination to protect something close to his heart, which was a thing that he had never had before.
Thinking on all of these experiences, Fanul lifted his head, his regal neck, to the heavens and sang a song, a command that would bring those who were still loyal to Alyxio, and those who might be interested in a home, to him. "Come! Gather to me," he voice rang loudly, clearly, with the confidence that a leader ought to display to his pack. It was time to see what Alyxio had to offer to this world, and if not anything or if it was not up to Fanul's high standards, then he would change that. Then he sat and waited the coming of his loyal vassals.
"Fanul howls."

Hythyr walked about the mountain, his eyes scanning the base for any prey that could satisfy. He thought that perhaps he could find something small that would hold him off until he could get something larger. He spotted a beaver trying to gnaw down a tree. Hythyr rushed the small creature and before the beaver could react Hythyr grabbed it by the neck and quickly dispatched it. Hythyr nodded over the beaver and wished it safe passage into the afterlife before eating it.
Hythyr had just finished his meal when he heard Fanul's voice. "Come! Gather to me!" Hythyr plunged his nose into the snow to clean off the blood, swishing his head back and forth to make sure it was gone. He then rushed over to Fanul as quickly as he could. He very soon reached his leader, the first one there. He took a few deep breaths, bowed to the red furred alpha, and spoke to him. "Your Champion is here Visturo. I am ready to fulfill your will." He grinned at his leader. "Would you prefer it if I was less formal?"
"Hythyr howls."

The cold of the winter day does not normally bother the grey lady, though she felt content to lay on a snow-free rock and basking in the weak sun, or simply keeping her paws out of the snow. The silver-eyed she-wolf's thoughts wandered to the wolves of her pack. She had not been as social as she could be, but at least the wolves she had met were kind, if not, a little excitable, but they all seemed to have an important sense of right and wrong, and that was something Hestia had especially been searching for. Wolves her were sane as she, even though no sanity existed, at the very least, they had fine senses and strong wills. What made a wolf near sane or insane was their mind, their will, and their actions. So far, she'd met no one insane. That was good.
But then, where are the insane? She wondered, her eyes opening slightly as if expecting an insane wolf to jump out at her because she hadn't met one yet. She smiled at her own silliness. There don't have to be insane wolves everywhere I go. She told herself strongly, glad for the quiet of her mind. She wondered if there were real wolves who had voices in their heads, or even separate personalities. What an odd world it would be, if these tales were real. What could cause such things, anyway? How could one begin hearing voices that only exist in their mind, and how could another being that doesn't exist control one's body? What odd thoughts. Then her thoughts were disturbed. "Come! Gather to me,"
When the howl of the virtuoso filled the air, Hestia's head shot up and she was totally awake. Fanul was calling his pack, and the silver-eyed woman was a part of that. She hopped off the boulder and followed the sound until she saw the flash of his fox-like pelt. She wondered why this meeting had been called, but instead dipped her head after Hythyr spoke. "Greetings Fanul," She said as she looked up at her Virtuoso. "What have you need that I can accomplish?" She asked, then dipped her head in greeting to Hythyr. The brown wolf could be so knight-like, it amused the grey lady, sometimes.
"She Speaks." She thinks. She Does.

“Come, gather to me!” The musical voice of her Virtuoso called. Zitori had been looking around for a small snack, as she was a little hungry after all her travels and uncertainty of her future, now that she had found a home and a pack, her stomach had been complaining.
But the master called, so she trotted off back in the direction of the call. She smiled her herself thinking it was a good thing anyway, she really should meet the others of the pack, and a pack meeting was just the thing. Her fox-like leaders form appeared with two others already there, one was the familiar silver maiden, Hestia. The other she did not know, and her heart almost stopped with the sight of a dark pelt, for one horrible moment she thought it was her black uncle, black for more than one reason to her, but she scolded herself at her momentary panic. Firstly this wolf did not carry the scent of her Uncle, she would never forget his stench and secondly this wolf was not black, rather a brownish colour with black mixed in.
"Greetings master" she said as she approached, head bowed towards him in respect, and then settled herself next to Hestia, feeling much more at ease next to a wolf she knew. She curiously ran her green gaze over the unknown wolf, he seemed to be in good humour, she dropped her eyes quickly feeling a little shy.

Some nerve, some nerve! How dare that wretched filthy liar of a man dare to call him? Zee was busy! He was always busy! Doing nothing of course, but that was worthy of being uninterrupted in his arduous labor! An anger fumed in his ears and threatened to drip out his nose as an unsuspecting drop of snot. Eagerly, his tongue swooped over his ebony nostril, eager for the unexpected snack.
Well then, he just wouldn't come! A better idea hit him. He would go, and he'd show that man who was boss! His tail flung above his back in a huff, he strutted up the mountain, his eyebrows furrowed in determination. He thought nothing of the other wolves who were there, and didn't care to even acknowledge their existence. The pack hadn't grown one bit since he joined, and there were still no females! Of course, he hadn't actually been around to check or care, and these other strange wolves couldn't possibly be real, they were just his new imaginary friends. Yeah, that had to be it. Zee dismissed reality as if it were a room service offering Tabasco-flavored saltine soda-crackers.
"You're a liar!", he shouted as soon as he saw the man he knew as Fanul. Zee continued to walk forwards and stopped in front of the man. "You PROMISED I could have a female to mate with whenever I wanted and be barefoot and preggers and serve me sammiches whenever I sauced my fish! There aren't any females at all! It's just one big group of males! There, see that one there!", he nodded his head towards one of the other wolves he had decided was his imaginary friend and not a real, living wolf. He indicated Zitori. "There see that one! He's fat! Look at his polish sausage sticking out from his underbelly there! And that one there! ", he nodded towards Hestia. "That one's got a face like a giraffe trying to be a constipated cat while knitting a porky blanket! He's got the biggest brautworst of them all! See it! See it! "
"And they're all old! What is this, some sort of old-men-getting-along-in-bedroom-attire-with-monocle-and-cane-and-hotdog ! Well, you sir! You, sir! There aren't any females at all! You think you can have the only female and only bring up male puppies? Sharing is caring! Sharing. Is. Caring. You, sir!", Zee did his best to ball his paws into fists and place them on his hips. But given his body shape and movement range, it didn't turn out well, so he settled for folding his ears angrily. He loosely insinuated that Fanul should "share" Antoinette for ... relations... due to the supposed lack of females. It didn't help any that he refused to believe the other wolves actually existed while suggesting that they did and gesturing towards them all the while and calling them unhappy things.
"Zee chomps."

”It’s now, or never,” the hefty she-wolf blurted, speaking to herself of course. She meandered nearer and nearer to the location in which the King had called, and she felt anxiety work its way up her belly. She walked with a tall gait, while her tail hung low and portrayed submission. But within her hazel eyes danced an evident fear. What if these wolves did not follow the examples of their King, and were burly and angry, and driven only by their own advances? The knots within her stomach tightened and the butterflies seemed to come alive. ”Come, now.. Such a knightly King would.. W-would not allow any but the worthy, within his realm.” This fact alone seemed to quell her troubles, and before she knew it she was moving at a quicker pace.
A male, two females, and the King himself, came into view as the woman trotted onward. They spoke their pleasantries to the King, and took their seats. A vibrant smile danced across Bilithe’s own façade as she approached, nodding respectfully to Fanul. However, before she could speak, another male approached. He was loud, and the words that fell from his lips were repulsive. A look of utter shock dismantled Bilithe’s smile, and there she stood, speechless. ’Worthy, indeed,’ she thought bluntly, and she could not help the curl of her lip to show her disgust. Was this one mad? Or was what he spoke.. True?
"Bilithe howls."

Maya had taken Fanul's description quite literally. From the moors she traveled "across the land" in search of the mountains where Fanul and his pack resided. They weren't hard to find - mountains were behemoth natural structures and the area reeked of Fanul and various other scents Maya did not recognize. She looked at the mountains expectantly and waited at the edge of Alyxio's territory. She itched to begin the climb, yet a strong sense of cautiousness and knowledge kept her at bay. It had been ingrained in her mind at a very young age that trespassing was absolutely unacceptable. Sometimes punishable by death. Maya doubted Fanul could kill her; she doubted he would even if he could. Maya's size and knowledge of defensive and offensive tactics were more than enough to keep her alive - if anything, she was a fast runner. Nonetheless, lessons learned kept her planted at the foot of the mountain. She contemplated whether or not she would call him down to meet her.
A howl interrupted her thoughts and her ears twitched as she recognized Fanul's timbre summons. Without hesitation, she started at a quick place toward the source of the call. Long, lithe legs extended and contracted beneath her form as she made her way to the leader. The soft crackle of snow and frost beneath her paws and the prints resulting from the impact were the only evidence of her journey. Her nose led the way once the call had ended, and despite her ignorance of the terrain she knew exactly where she was going. It also helped her sense of navigation that she could detect a loud angry voice, coming from, she inferred, the place of meeting.
Maya slowed as she reached the gathering of wolves. Her body tensed instinctually; she was uncomfortable not recognizing anyone she saw. She inhaled deeply, taking in all of the individuals' scents and she calmed herself. Ignoring the group, she padded straight for Fanul. Her tail started at a slow tempo as she neared him. "Hello, oh fiery one." she gave him a small grin in greeting. "Maya Fortuna, in case you've forgotten." she reintroduced herself and dipped her head once. Not waiting for a response or acknowledgement, Maya turned and trotted past him. She settled down a few tail-lengths to the left of him, crossing her forepaws as she lay on the ground, making herself perfectly at home.
In no way did she mean to seem intrusive, or pretentious; her relaxed posture suggested her role as a mere spectator. An outsider. She came to listen, to observe, to learn. She would speak with Fanul after hearing what he had to say, unless he addressed her before commencing whatever discourse he had in mind. In the mean time, her watchful eyes scrutinized every present member of the group. She analyzed each physique and attempted to connect sight and smell. Of course, it would have been easier for her if she could take in every smell individually, but she did her best. She noted the tinge of blood on the dark male. Eyes narrowed. Prey, yet there was no blood on the ground near Fanul. Had he hunted and not brought his kill to the Alpha?
Her eyes drifted to the grey male. Had he been the angry one? Of course, she could smell the anger. A perk of having such a good olfactory system - animals could smell the emotion and not have to worry about decoding it from language. She perceived nothing of interest from the females - what a surprise. Maya never thought females were interesting. She looked back to Fanul, waiting for him to speak.
"Maya howls."

table by the lovely yuki <33 I still can't be very active yet, so you can place Cicero wherever you'd like, but if possible, I'd like for him to remain in Alyxio. =D
Another winter, another wave of coldness. This time it felt different however… as if it rested on his heart and dug beneath it’s dark recesses, sharply jabbing into it’s delicate corners. This winter chill had a personal vendetta, becoming more and beyond what the climate’s regular reaches could be. The air puffed out of his mouth in a violent display of fogged air, Cicero’s breathing irregular and ragged, but not from rush or worry… just general discontent and disrepair. His body felt weaker and frailer than he could have ever remembered it being, and he wasn’t sure why that might be. His mind in particular, was wizened from the loneliness of having no companion, and no home. Although he had found Fanul and the pack that the male had created, most of his time had been secluded or alone, with nothing but his own thoughts to keep him company. And those thoughts had been wretched ones, self-depreciating and weak… lonely. Here he was, in the company of a pack, finally! At last! And still he was absorbed in a strange depression that was impossible to escape from.
And lo and behold, Fanul’s voice rang through the winter air, his call commanding and crisp in the brilliant sunlight. Cicero’s violet eyes blinked as if waking from a languorous slumber, lids heavy and weak, the eyes of dreamer. Slowly, without surprise and shock, almost as if Cicero knew this would be happening, though he really had no idea. The golden shock of his body lifted slowly from the glittering white of the crisp snow. His paws and his body moved in the direction of the call, his eyes widening, trying to wake up, to get excited about this potential meeting with wolves… but he knew that he had to take these steps, to move forward. As he arrived his purple eyes slid over the unfamiliar faces, not knowing any of them, focusing only on Fanul, the one face he knew. He moved over to the other brightly colored made, a smile twitching on the corner of his lips. "Greetings, Fanul. Apologies for my absences…" he whispered, with a bow of his skull in greeting. He then moved over to the side and sat down, watching and waiting for the happenings of the meeting.

She had dreaded the moment she knew the call would come, to bring forward those of equal and higher status, to speak of news, events and tasks, and she absolutely feared the moment. Despite her need for knowledge, the phoenix was not one of social values and found her hair bristling upon her back to the idea of a large group. How many times had she suffered humiliation and pain to those whom gathered? She was under the influence of past happenings and although she knew all too well she was safe among these fellow pack members, fear would sit upon her stomach. In the moment of the song that beckoned her presence, she fought an internal battle to steer clear and head the other way, but amongst the fear was a now deep set loyalty to her pack, and she refused to disappoint.
She had been simply caching some herbs and healing plants that she could get her jaws upon in the winter months, whatever stocks the Alyxio had before her and any other healers that now resided, were few and far between, and she sought drastically change this. A small cave upon the territory grounds served a great purpose and the vixen stored whatever she knew would be of use dried and what was in season. She would continue to harvest the plants over the seasons and keep the area stocked, she would also have to share this information with members of the pack in moment’s of emergency, having she not nor any other healer being there. Long, easy movements kissed the earth upon the cave’s floor, as a tiny herb was dropped from her clutches when the call rang high and clear. With perked ears and the war waging between her emotions, she stepped out of the cave and pushed upwards towards her leader.
It didn’t take long for the lithe creature to make her way up the mountain, her agile body moving with a quick certainty. The day had her pelt glimmering softly, casting her ablaze, a walking flame, a phoenix, approaching the group of wolves. Dainty white socks blended well with the snow beneath her feet, making it look as if the wolf was in fact melted to the ground with each step she took. Despite the uneasy settling within her, as she came into view of the group, she allowed a tiny smile, of respect to settle upon her black lips. She sat on the background, close enough to hear and be heard, to see, however, she gave very little notion towards her pack members and all’s but a simple nod in Fanul’s direction. This was all the woman had to offer until she had the time to offer any information or be called upon.

Next round begins on 3/21! No post order. You can post whenever you wish. Loooong post, but please bear with me! What we need from you this round is: 1. a food assignment (Just have your character state what job they can do -- hunter, gatherer, fisherman, falconer, etc.) 2. questions/comments about their tasks, if any. After you do these two things, you are free to post your exit posts.Fanul will speak with Maya and Zitori after everyone else is dismissed. There will be a pack hunt after this thread is done if anyone is interested!
He waited patiently, his mind in meditation of he was to say, for he had never spoken words in front of so many wolves before. But that mattered little to the fox, for he felt confident in his ability to control the crowds, direct their attention to him as their leader. He held an air of roguish regalia, a walking contraction with mortal blood running through his veins. Fanul Rhapsody, the Alyxian Lord, had a purpose in life that was far greater than that of his ancestors. ...or at least, what he knew of his ancestors. His memory of the past was a blur, and perhaps it was due to the fact that he knew nothing, for traveled alone for almost as long as he could remember. His mother was the only guardian figure in his life, and even she left his side in order to traverse the passage to the next world. He recalled her tenderness, her warmth, her desire to protect him... and that was all. He could barely even remember her face.
But now was not the time to despair. He had had the past few years to mourn and grieve over his loss -- when she first passed, he was broken, and as that young child he did not entirely understand what had happened. Yet, he did not cry for long because he had to be strong to survive. He had to learn the skills that his mother was so apt at; he had to hunt and forage and hide himself from other predators. The fox actually became better at these things than his mother, and so he lived where she did not. Fanul's mind was ever-turning, constantly gauging the events of the world, and so he could move one step ahead of everyone else. That was how he lived.
When the first of his wolves came forward, Fanul dipped his head in greeting. "Welcome, Hythyr," he said. This was a punctual wolf, someone eager and full of potential. With discipline and training, he would make a fine Champion. "I don't think it matters whether you're formal or not," he assured. "As long as I have your attention, I have no preference." He wanted this to be a short meeting, so he hoped that everyone would arrive soon in order to ensure that. Next came Hestia and Zitori, the two who had arrived together recently at his borders. He acknowledged them. "Hestia, Zitori. I am glad to see that the both of you are here and well. Have you settled into your dens?" He behaved for socially than he usually did, all for the sake of keeping his pack together and to foster a home.
After that came a whirlwind of excitement and exaggeration. Zee arrived with an air of intense emotions, a little uncalled for in Fanul's opinion but who was he to judge what happened in the young one's mind? "Now, now, Zee," he began. "Calm yourself." Only when he had the wolf's attention did the fox even bother speaking; there was no point in talking over Zee when he was riled up. "I don't recall making such a promise, but even so, I think you neglect the lovely ladies of Alyxio." He nodded at Hestia, Zitori and the newly arriving Bilithe. "They are the jewels of this league, the talented core of our greatness, and should you treat them respectfully you may yet find that experience to be rewarding." If Zee were to harass any of them, Fanul would not be happy and would surely put him in his place. However, he was confident that the boisterous, young wolf was harmless, despite how much he liked to talk.
He then turned to Bilithe and gave a welcoming glance. "Welcome, Bilithe. I am happy to see you." And indeed he was, for without the help if this wonderful healer, Antoinette would likely not be doing as well due to the birth of the pups. Perhaps Fanul would have said something more, but a new scent flitted by his nose. Soon came Maya, the wolf he had met in the west some time ago. His black lips tugged into a handsome grin as he bowed his head in greeting. "Yes," he said. "I remember you quite well. Welcome to the Lemures Mountains and the realm of Alyxio. I invite you to stay after this meeting, and I will discuss matters further with you. Until then, make yourself at home among us."
At last came Cicero and Saint, both of whom were valuable members of the pack. "Hello, Cicero. Well met, my friend. Have you been well?" Fanul also nodded at the lady, and said, "Welcome, Saint. I trust you have made yourself at home in the mountains?" And that was it. Perhaps Antoinette was off taking care of the pups and that was why she had not showed up. As for Sephiroth and Maelyne, he had not a clue where they were, but that did not matter; he had other wolves who were able and willing to answer his call. He ought to focus on them first.
Let it begin. Fanul lifted his head and spoke to his fellow wolves. "Before I forget, I would like to announce a hunting party in the north right after this meeting for anyone who is hungry or would simply like the exercise." Indeed, perhaps it was time to set up a system for hunting and gathering food. There were many wolves living here now, and they needed to be accounted for. "Speaking of food, I would like every able-bodied wolf in Alyxio to take up an extra duty other than the talent that you have chosen to hone. We are in need of regular hunters, falconers, and fishermen to keep our stock of meat and fowl fed in the event of a famine or shift in weather." Yes, Torva had been far too unstable in the past year for Fanul to trust in the future. He had to make sure that Alyxio was ready for any sort of emergency.
"And next for business... task assignments. I trust you have been working on your talents and gifts on your own time, but in order to improve, I propose a test. For some of you, these tests may be on behalf of official matters and relations with other packs. For others, they will be less political." Fanul had a good mind to send some of these wolves out on missions for a variety of purposes, though he would have to be especially careful of whom he allocated to which tasks -- some were far more fragile than others. "Hestia Hart," he began gracefully. "As our Ambassador, I ask that you venture to the west near the Vargo. There is a pack there called Nix'rio; if you can, call out to the alpha and ask if he might be interested in an alliance of sorts. If he is indeed interested, then I will seek him out for further negotiations." Of course, he was not so foolish as to send her by herself. If Nix'rio were not peaceful, then she would be at risk for injury or even death. "Hythyr, our Champion, and Saint, our Herbalist, will accompany you." Both Hythyr and Saint could fight; Fanul could attest to that. On top of that, Saint was also a skilled healer, and if need called for it, she could offer her services to Nix'rio to smooth out any suspicions. "I hear that Azren is of a darker nature. Do not double-cross him, and remember to remain mannered as far as niceties and etiquette goes."
And now for the near east... Fanul had done a little bit of prowling around himself, but he wanted to be sure. There were not many at the waterfall -- if there were, then the wolves were few. Despite the mysteriousness of this mission, he had a certain feeling that a quick trek would be relatively simple as long as these wolves were intelligent about it. There seemed to be a stirring of sorts, an emerging power there. "Zee, you have not yet been assigned an official task, but I would like to dub you our first Explorer, if that is to your liking. And as your first mission, you are to venture to the waterfall and see what lies there." Fanul's lips pulled back into a smile. "You will not be going alone, of course. Cicero, our Tracker, and Bilithe, our Herbalist, will go with you." Cicero would be able to pick up on traces of life and any packs if there were any, and Bilithe, like Saint, could be of service to any injured wolves that could possibly be recruited and could help her own companions if something were to happen. "Remember that caution is your friend. Report back to me with any news."
"And Zitori," he said, with little intention of having her be left out. "I have a special assignment for you as our Troubadour, if you are willing to speak with me in private after this." The fox then looked up at the rest of the pack, his eyes alight with a curious gaze that questioned all of them, beckoned them to ask what queries were in their hearts should they have them. "Now is the time to ask if you have anything you wish to know."

Hythyr watched as one by one his fellow pack members arrived. Many of them he had met before, but just as many were strangers to the young man. He greeted each in turn as they arrived. Hythyr was incredibly surprised when that insane man Zee showed up and began complaining about there not being any women in the pack. Hythyr gave a puzzled look and looked over to his pack mates. There seemed to be a healthy handful of women in the pack so Hythyr was a bit confused. He shook his head at the loony Zee; Hythyr would probably never understand the guy. Hythyr sat and listened attentively as Fanul greeted each wolf and began delegating tasks. Fanul mentioned that the pack needed active hunters. "I am willing to hunt. I can get small game on my own or,if anyone is willing to, larger game with the help of another." Hythyr's ears perked up when he heard about the tests. His tail wagged excitedly when he heard that he would be put on such an important mission with two friendly ladies he had met before. He was also interested in seeing if he would run into Heike or Dimitri there. Hythyr gave Fanul a warm grin and bowed. "I am honored to have your trust in this endeavor and will protect our Ambassador and Herbalist to the best of my ability." Hythyr turned and smiled at his friends, "Although I'm sure they can defend themselves pretty well." Hythyr then waited to Join Fanul and any other pack members to the hunting party. His tail waggd slowly behind him as he was excited to finally take some responsibility for his pack.

(OOC; Here's the link for Saint and Hythyr to the Alliance thread for Nix'rio. http://torva.moral-lock.com/index.php?show...t=0entry30370 )
The wolves of her pack began to gather together, and Hestia was glad to see that she recognized at least a few of them, but the others were strangers to her. Then a grey male appeared, his eyes a very sharp and intriguing shade of violet. He steamed past everyone without really looking at anyone except Fanul, then ranted quite disgustingly. Her silver eyes widened at his total insults toward Zitori and herself and her back grew tense. She blinked. An insane wolf. Hestia resisted the urge to bury her face between her paws. There are insane wolves everywhere she goes. Most of his rantings were incoherent, but she understood the insult towards her, and the request for Fanul to share his mate. She suppressed a snort of indignation.
She looked at Fanul when he spoke. "Yes, I have settled well, Fanul." She dipped her head to him as she finished. Then listened as he spoke in turn to everyone, and her lip curled a bit in a smile as he addressed the one named Zee about women. Finally he spoke of hunting. Hestia's ear perked up, a pack hunt would be a great idea. She loved pack hunts, and as he spoke of hunting being needed for the pack, she spoke after Hythyr. "I will do the same, and I can fish as well, if needed." She told him, happy to be of any assistance possible. She stayed where she was, though she would carry on for the hunt as well as everyone else who wished to.
Then, assignments. The grey lady felt her chest swell with pride as she was told to make the journey to the west. She listened closely as he spoke of who was going with her and for anything that she would indefinitely need. She nodded when he was finished, and smiled to the shy, fiery woman and the dark Champion. "I will do my very best, Fanul." She said proudly. "And it will be a pleasure to travel with you." She added to the others. Then she followed hythyr's suit and waited for everyone who was going to wait for the hunt to begin.
"She Speaks." She thinks. She Does.

Zitori had just settled herself nicely when the silver stranger with the violet eyes stormed in. He was shouting insults, mostly about the lack of females. Her eyes narrowed at he yelled about her being a fat old man. This wolf was obviously off his rocker, she wondered briefly why Fanul allowed such a wolf to reside her, but he must have some use. She decided to ignore the insults, it didn't seem that any angry words would resolve anything with the ranting madman.
She noted the arrival of the other members of the pack, and scented the air deeply to absorb their scent so she would remember them, they were her family now and she would need to know each one if she was to sing their praises to the sky. Her eyes slid over the pale lady who arrived and smiled at the virtuoso. A small frisson of fear trembled through her body as the dark body of another came into view, although the scent was that of a female, she still felt fear at the dark pelt. She frowned to herself, she really needed to get a hold of herself and stop this stupid panic at the sight of dark wolves, there was only one dark wolf she needed to fear and he was far away, he would not bother her again. Two more wolves who maybe were made of fire or sunlight approached, her green gaze also slid over them, nose taking in the scent of each.
Fanul seemed satisfied that they were all gathered, such a large pack! She listened intently as he greeted each wolf. "Hythyr"she thought to heself, noting his scent once more, locking it into the vault of her mind. Fanul then was greeting her and Hestia, she already knew the sigh and scent of the grey lady.
"Thank-you Fanul."she awnsered him quietly, "I have settled in nicely."
The greetings continued, Zee the crazy male. Bilithe the pale lady. Maya, the dark woman. Ciceco, the golden male with a violet gaze and Saint a blazing red female. She wondered briefly if this was the whole pack, as she had smelt the presecne of pups around, but she supposed their mother, and her Alphess was probably indisposed with the care of the young, she hoped to meet them all soon.
Her muzzle parted in a lage grin at the mention of a pack hunt, she loved to hunt and with a pack it was much more enjoyable. The smell of the prey, the bond between the pack, the thrill of the chase, the taste of the blood, the frantic song the heart of the prey sang just before it offerend up its spirit so the pack could live. She closed her eyes briefly in bliss as she remembered old hunts with her old family. "I am eager to hunt with the pack," she spoke "I can aslo cacth the small prey that likes to hide amounst the rock of the slopes." she added, knowing herself to be rather good at cathing the small animals that scuried around the rocks, thinking themselves safe. She had been surving on them for quite a while as she travelled across the land.
She listened to the assignments Fanul assigned her pack mates, her heat beating fast with anticipation, she wondered what task would be given to her, maybe a test, he had not heard her sing and that was to be her primary role. She nodded her head in agreement as Fanul requested her to speak with him after the meeting was finished. She wondered what her assingment would be, and she was detirmined not to fail her Alpha.
"Wolf howls." "Wolf thinks."

OOC: Newcomer. o:
The wolfess's feet had led her to the mountains, fierce they stood in the barren winter air. They made themselves out as superior silhouettes against the sky. There was no question that they were large in size and perhaps a bit intimidating to the she-wolf. That intimidation was quickly shrugged off and a dainty bodice began to move its way up the mountainside. Climbing further, the breeze blew down her backside. Strands of fur fluttered back and forth and scents had begun swirling inside her obsidian nostrils. The faint scent of many wolves. Thoughts than entered her mind, these mountains could be commonly traveled... Or maybe there was a pack nearby? In this eerie landscape? Defiantly not, however, she had yet to get used to them. A place like this didn't suit her, she much preferred a nice warm den to curl up in. Of course the only thing it would lack is her mother.
The female's senses were young and keen, enabling her to track the most recent trail, she could have agreed that curiosity had gotten the best of her but in truth she just sought a safe path to travel in these eerie mountains. Ears stood perked for any noise and it only seemed what was a few minutes before she heard a howl ringing on the mountain. Stopping in her tracks, Chess was barely able to understand the words and she wasn't able to detect who exactly the sender was. There was one thing she was positive about, the voice belonged to a male. Once the girl couldn't hear it resonating within her eardrum any longer, she trotted onward up the path. Little did the she-wolf know that she was padding right into a meeting of pack wolves. Scents became even stronger and a clearing full of wolves overwhelmed her, although it wasn't unexpected.
Chess was raised to believe that trespassing on a pack's territory without permission was a huge no-no. She quickly glanced around. All of them appeared focused on the centered wolf. His looks were fox-like. It was her best guess that he was the leader. Silence seemed to follow with her arrival. "Oh crap! Oh crap! oh-.... Oh, I'm still okay... That's great!" And with that thought a bit of an embarrassed grin pierced her lips. The female moved forward and nodded to who she deemed "Mr. Foxy" for the moment, since of course she had no clue as to who he might be. "I'm intruding? I'm defiantly intruding... I-I'm very sorry." Chess spoke in a soft and sweet tone and shot an apologetic glance at the red hued male. "I hope you don't mind another pair of listening ears." She paused for a few seconds and then blinked at him with light brown orbs. "That is, if you'll allow me to stay." It was then that she gave a short and soft girlish laugh. How glad she would be to be able to join in on this meeting with such a colorful and beautiful family.
"Speech."

She had slept too late. She had been slightly ill, the winter months creeping into her body and giving her a cold. Her immune system had always been rather strong, though she figured that the reason it was weakened now was because of her birthing several months beforehand. Perhaps her body had not entirely recovered from spewing four small wolves from her. This was what she blamed her illness on, which made her sleep and miss the howl of her mate, companion, and alpha of the pack she was of. She just hoped that she wasn't missing anything too important, and that Fanul would understand why she was missing for such a while. As soon as she could, she removed herself from her den, which smelled of pups, Antoinette, and a hint of sickness. She would have to clean it out later in the day in order to make sure that nobody else who wandered near would catch it. She had taken another den away from the pups in order to make sure that they would not get sick, either, and so far it had worked. It was bothersome not to have them in the same den as she, for she never knew when they would decide to become adventurous and romp around the territory, without any supervision. Hopefully she or a pupsitter or another wolf of Alyxio would catch them before they got too far.She sped herself to the meeting, taking herself as fast as she could go without causing a fit of coughing. That would not look well in the face of the pack. They would all assume her weak, and would poke at her, as wolves did when they saw one who was weaker than they. So she gathered her strength and approached the pack meeting, taking a seat next to Fanul. Up here she could not shrink back in her shame of being late, so she would just have to face up to it. "I apologize for being late, there's no excuse," She took her hazy blue eyes to Fanul first to speak quietly to him and to apologize, then to graze the meeting. Alyxio was certainly growing. Everyone was speaking in turn, each announcing what they would take up and what duty they would like. Antoinette smiled softly, she had come at just the right moment. She waited for the last to speak, then let her vocal cords release sound. "Several of you still don't know me, which is my fault for being so socially elusive, but I am Antoinette. I hope in the future to help guide us to brilliance," She paused. "I am a story-teller, and while I have not spoken a story since being in Alyxio, perhaps sometime this month I will hold a gathering to tell you all something? Let it be an opportunity for us to flourish together as a pack that enjoys one another's company," She smiled, then shrank back to let everyone else speak. "I will also fish or hunt to make up for the lack of work I've done," She said to Fanul, and then she was finished. "Antoinette purrs." Table by Yahtzee
