OOC. Please, No WIP or reserved posts, check out the Demetrius band courses in plots if you are unsure about this class. Dimitri was just recently changed to the Healing course teacher.

How? How did they convince me to teach for that damned Demetrius band with that awful Alpha, Athena? Dimitri wondered silently as she looked over the water. The pond was not nearly as clean as she'd hoped, and so the first thing she wanted to teach was not testable, for the water was not pure enough to touch the eyes of a wolf. That may cause some problems. It made the girl somewhat proud to recognize so much about healing. Well, She thought as she looked over the land. I suppose I should not stop anyone from learning about healing, even if I do not like Athena. She stated neutrally to herself in the silence of her mind. This course, she knew, would need no running or jumping, just some trotting to get from plant to plant in hopes of learning what needed to be taught. With the chill in the air, Dimitri was lucky she had found all the herbs she'd wanted for the class, though they may not look the same in any other time of the year.

The green-eyed youth lapped at the waters edge, taking in the cool edges, slightly frozen in the winter chill. The snow on the ground didn't help either. It was only luck and environment that had lead Dimitri to find the plants she needed, as she had set a mental list, and only came up missing burdock root, but that was fine. She wondered silently if her list would be too long for one day, then shook her head. If it's too long then it's too long, I can pick up another time, I would suppose. She told herself thoughtfully as she watched the sun begin to rise. As it slowly peaked above the distant mountains, she stood confidently. Oh, good, it's time to start. She told herself, unable to help the thrill of excitement, wondering who would gather for her class, and who would actually think her a fine teacher. Youth was probably still against her in this, and they may not trust a the cream girl for her lack of experience.

Raising her head to the sky as the dawn broke into morning, Dimitri called to her students. Her song told the lands of her willingness to teach those who were willing to learn, and of the art that she would tell. The land rang with her howl, calling for anyone who wanted to learn of healing and herbs, anyone who wished to help themselves and others who were hurt or ill. The youth called out to all those who wished for this information that she had, and if they either wanted or needed it, they could come freely. Then she sat calmly and waited as the sun rose higher into the sky. Those who decided to come would have to be here soon, or they would miss the class. If anyone came to the class of a she-wolf who was not even of age yet.

“She Speaks.” She thinks. She does.

Where the marshmallows roam free

As the sun broke through the oppression grays of the morning dawn, the sky was a burst of passionate flames. Like vivid birds of paradise, wisps of color protruded from every angle imaginable, as if eager to paint the blank canvas with colors of warmth.

But the old hag had fallen asleep with the monotonous droning of frogs and crickets, the midnight breeze a reminder of the bitter temperatures. As a result, both personalities had managed to get some sleep, but as usual, the cantankerous one slumbered on while the younger and more vibrant took the helm of the aging body.

The call had been like honey in her ears, and feeling bored on her mountaintop, she had decided to investigate. A broad smile pulled at the corners of her face, her tail stub set in a genuine wagging motion. Silently, she approached this younger wolf who she felt sure she'd never seen before and belly-flopped herself in the snow. Athena's yellow eyes watched happily from her spot where she imitated a bear-skin rug, her tail giving a thump or two whenever she caught anyone looking at her.

Athena knew that she had been feeling rather confused, so today she decided that she would be silent instead of asking questions which seemed to make others feel even more confused than her. Silently, she peered up out of the snow, her expression one of hopeful glee. But behind her eyes lurked a strange emptiness, the hollow gloss of a doll, the beady-eyed smile of a portrait. Cold, harsh, and shallow, her eyes almost seemed as if they were not there at all but instead an empty cut out, waiting for someone to stand behind and look through, and for another to take a picture of, as if this somber condition were something to laugh at. But the cruel joke was far beyond this Athena's comprehension.

The morning had just begun, yet Hestia already wandered, pondering the lands history as she always did. Growing up on the borders of these lands can do that to a person, as she had heard the stories but never joined them. The land held so much history, it made the silver-eyed woman hesitate with every step when she thought about it. What had happened here? What did this place look like twelve seasons ago? How many battles had been fought here? Ah, these thoughts always filled the grey lady's head as she walked with care over the grassy land. Her ears pricked forwards as she watched a frog hop by her. She must be near water. With a smile, the she-wolf began trotting after the frog, quite content with watching it hop.

Then the morning was split by the song of a she-wolf, one that spoke of healing and herbs, one who will teach those willing to learn. Always willing to learn, Hestia turned away from the frog, who she was sure gave a sigh of relief at her departure, and began her journey to the pond. It waters were calm, but somewhat unclean, and as she walked along the bank, she spotted two figures. One was grey and white, the other cream. The grey she-wolf was older, though she acted somewhat like a pup, wagging her tail when she saw Hestia observing her. Then Hestia turned to the cream she-wolf, a young girl, not even of age, but she held herself firmly and appeared to be in charge. She seemed to like holding herself as such, and Hestia figured that she or the grey she-wolf would teach.

The silver-eyed woman sat next to a willow tree who's roots sank into the water. She wondered why the placement of the class, was there something special about this area, or was it just convenient? Both she-wolves had the scents of different packs, and the Alyxio woman felt a perfectly at ease, where others might dislike the thought of these packs coming together, in case of fighting. Hestia spoke up with a polite tone and a dipping of her head as greeting. “Hello, I am Hestia Hart of Alyxio, it is a pleasure to meet you.” She said, speaking to both of the women in front of her.

"She Speaks." She thinks. She Does.

ooc;-

Heike huffed, he followed Dimitri's tracks. He felt alone, so be it if it was a healing class, it was a small price to pay, just to be close to her. He could learn something as well. He huffed again. He relaxed his muscles when he heard her howl and he started a slow run, thousand thoughts went through the white males head as he crossed the white land, almost invisible if not looking carefully. He felt her soothing smell in the air when closing in on her, also he smelled water. He slowed down, not wanting to look to obvious why he came there.

She were not alone, two other females stood there too. The old girl he recognized at once and he grinned, but the grey female was new. Heike stepped up at Dimitri's side, looking at her. “Hey, girl.” He said kindly and huffed, then he looked to the older female. “Ah, if it is not our old friend from the mountains, Athena. How are you then?” He said polite, even if the creme girl at his side didn't like her, Heike had for sure not gotten any reasons to hate on her. He felt a little mean toward Dimitri though. Then he looked at the grey female. She were large, tall, strong but thin body. Her silver eyes would perhaps amaze him a few weeks ago, but for Heike now they were just a normal grey shade, perhaps a little like the moonlight when he thought about it. “I am Heike, who are you young girl?” He asked, and smiled.

Zippo had, advised by his new leader, Athena, gone to attend the healing course. Right then he heared the call. He wandered silently, wondering about the teacher. Would it be a mighty young male? Or perhaps an old dried up, spooky witch female. Zippo shrugged and changed the trotting into a slow run. His ear twitched forward and he lifted his head and smelled the air. “I smell water!” He sang, and took a few buck jumps in excitement. He never cared about the temperature of the water, his fur was water repellant. He started sprinting, jumping with ease over debriefs after something that had looked like it were a mighty storm here not to long ago. He didn't care to smell for other wolves, so he did not see the others standing at the pond, when he broke out of some bushes and stormed at the water. “WAAATER!” He yelled and took a long leap and crashed into the thin ice, going through and into the water, it splashed over the ice around him. “Oh god! Ice! Ouch!” He whined and tried to climb onto the ice but it couldn't support his weight, he worked himself to land and got up, shaking wildly to get the water off and first then he saw the.

Zippo froze and studied them up and down. One he recognized, it was his leader, Athena. The big white brute stood by the creme girl with the green eyes. But the grey female, tall and slim It was his new friend, Hestia, with them pretty eyes. “Hestia! My little friend.” He greeted and ran up to them all. Grinning widely at Hestia. Then he turned to his leader. “And my lady! You are here too, if I knew I would have gone with you!” He said to Athena, wagging his tail and bowing to the old lady.

OOC. No posting order, only one post each between mine, though.

Athena's appearance surprised the young she-wolf to a point where, well, she stared at the old hag for a long moment. Her tail wagged and she was quiet. No rude comments, she seemed genuinely content, and didn't seem to even recognize Dimitri. She looked at the old, grey woman with the thumping, stump of a tale and was dumbfounded. Did she fall down a cliff and hit her head? She could not help but wonder. And she had just been thinking, how did they get her to teach again? Maybe this wasn't Athena at all, some clone with the same markings and scent... The girl allowed herself to stare a moment longer before finally turning to the willow roots and finding out if their was anything unhealthy about the tree. Okay, just ignore her? There should be others.

Dimitri waited a few more moments before turning back around, and caught sight of the silver-eyed she-wolf who appeared. The woman introduced herself as Hestia Hart of Alyxio. The youth paused to think, hadn't she met someone from Alyxio? Ah, yes, Hythyr, that's right. That lucky Bastard who had beaten her and Heike in sparring matches. She felt a snort of irritation at the thought come along, but stopped herself an simply dipped her head in greeting. She would tell them her name when everyone was here, no need to repeat herself. Then it was a flash of white that alerted her to the polar bear whom placed himself at her side. She smiled at him as he greeted her, then allowed her eyes to wonder around the clearing, making sure she knew where everything was. When Heike greet Hestia, however, she glanced at him and saw a smile upon his lips. Her tail swayed in irritation, but she was too quickly interrupted by the shenanigans of a young, blonde wolf who was about her age.

As the blonde wolf leaped into the water, he broke through thin ice and yelped. He whined a bit as he slowly made his way back to solid ground, and Dimitri watched with amusement as he shook himself off. She ignored the droplets that landed upon her pelt, as it was thick enough to fend off these few bits of liquid ice. The blonde boy greeted Hestia as an old friend, then Athena as his alpha. So, He belongs to Demetrius, eh? She yawned widely, showing off fine canines in a non-intimidating way.

It seemed like everyone was here, and if someone was missing, then they could catch up. Dimitri cleared her throat to get everyone's attention after it had settled down. “Greetings, everyone, as some of you may know, I am Dimitri Harvest of Nix'rio.” She told her class as she stood tall and in-charge. “Today I have a list of herbs and techniques that I can show you, if you are willing to learn. If not, then you might as well leave now, unless you have a reason.” She then hopped onto the Willow roots that hung over the water. “Only two wolves may stand on these roots at a time, please take turns if you cannot see.” Feeling good, Dimitri crouched down and stuck her hand into the cold water, pulling up a small paw full of the icy water, thankful that it had not frozen under the roots. “The water beneath the roots of a willow can be used to clear blurry vision.” She explained. “In any other place, I probably would have asked for a volunteer to drip the water into their eyes, but seeing as this was is not as clean as I'd hoped, I would not advice this, as well as the cold being able to cause a bit of damage.” She then allowed her paw to turn slightly and the water dropped back into the pond. She turned her attention upwards, where leaves hung down. She hopped up and pulled down a small branch full of leaves, then leaped off of the roots and stood in a clearing, allowing everyone to gather around. She placed the leaves down at her paws. “That willow in particular was a black willow, you can tell by the almost charred look of the bark.” She stated clearly. “The leaves of the Black willow can be used to reduce pain, but they must be consumed to do so. For instance, it can help with a sprained paw by reducing the pain. The leaves do not work unless consumed.” She stated. “Any questions so far?” She asked, looking over the wolves.

“She Speaks.” She thinks. She does.

Solaris walked, slowly, towards the Willow Pond, where the healing course was to be held, she had been, some ways away when the call for it to begin had sounded, and she knew that teacher might have all ready started, still she figured it was better, that she came rather than she stayed away, and so she slowly but securely made her way to the pond.

She stopped once she reached the pond and recognized, some of the wolves that had gathered there, her Alpha among other as well as the two male wolves who had also been in the fighting course, while the others, where unfamiliar to her, but for the time being, her attention was focused on the crème female, teaching the class as she, taught the class, about the water beneath the willow and of the leaves of the black willow, that could help with pain, “wish I had known that, when I got my scars” she thought to herself as she made mental notes of everything the female told, and stored it in her brain for future use.

“When you say the water beneath a willow can be used clear blurry vision, is it water beneath all kinds of willows, or just the water beneath a black willow?” she asked, her eyes resting on Dimitri

Heike looked as Dimitri jumped onto the willow tree, hanging over the pond. Even she said only two at once he didn't jump up there, he never trusted trees this close to water, they could look perfectly fine and when one or two jumps onto them, it breaks because it was rotten inside. Instead he looked at the water she dipped her hand into and heard her teaching of it clearing blurred vision. Heike crouched and frowned at the water, it weren't to clear acctualy, he saw it before she said it herself. It wasn't as murky as it could have been, seeing there had been a big storm here not long ago. Heike lifted his head and looked around, the place had for sure had it's beauty, but it was wrecked now. It would take many season changes before it would look better.

”Isn't it weird that the water is still not clear? There haven't been storms around here for a while.” Heike asked, the pond is still water, the debrief and such should have laid it's self to the bottom and make the water clear as before. Unless someone were walking and stirring up the mud, sand or whatever it was. “When you say the water beneath a willow can be used clear blurry vision, is it water beneath all kinds of willows, or just the water beneath a black willow?” Heike looked back, it was Solaris, entering the clearing. He nodded to her in a polite greeting. Then looked back at Dimitri that had been telling about the leaves relieving pain if consumed.

"Heike huffs."

OOC; So sorry I haven't replied here for so long! Dimitri will reply on the 21st!

"Hestia Hart, Ambassador of Alyxio." She repeated herself calmly. She didn't mind saying it again for the white male, though the young cream girl seemed irritated by his behavior. They were obviously a couple, and Hestia Suppressed a smile. how cute. She thought. With the wind came a family scent, then the family, musical voice of the young blonde male Hestia had met. She was pretty sure his name was Zippo. She couldn't help but to grin as he climbed out of the water, whining about the ice. She hated ice when it came to swimming, but didn't hate cold water. It wasn't deadly as long as you didn't stay in too long. She dipped her head in greeting to the young boy. "Hello again, Zippo." She replied to his greeting, then her attention turned to the cream she-wolf as she took her place.

She spoke of the willow of which she stood upon the roots of. Hestia took her turn to look at what the cream girl did, but allowed others to get over quickly. She knew a little about the willow, the not of the water beneath it's roots. How interesting. She looked at the willow when it was stated to be a subspecies, and smiled a bit at already knowing the difference. The white she-wolf seemed to just appear in their midst, as Hestia had not noticed her arrival, and asked her question about the water beneath the roots. She perked her ears to listen. This was something important, she had not heard of the water beneath the roots, and the black willow could be specific, as it is with it's aspirin leaves.

"She Speaks." She thinks. She Does.

OOC. After giving you answers, feel free to have you character leave.

“When you say the water beneath a willow can be used clear blurry vision, is it water beneath all kinds of willows, or just the water beneath a black willow?” Dimitri looked up at Solaris as she made herself known. the girl thought for a moment. She already knew the answer, of course, but she wanted to figure out the best way to reply. It was a question Dimitri had not actually realized would come up. She looked back at the willow thoughtfully.

"All willows have the ability to clear vision below their roots, but black willows are the only ones with this natural aspirin in the leaves." She told the white she-wolf calmly, though speaking loudly to everyone. She turned back to the others for a moment. She looked them over to see who was and wasn't paying attention, then began to move on. "Now, I have a few more herbs I would like to show you today, then you can disperse as needed after a quick run through." She told everyone, then disappeared around a bush.

On returning, She carried a few plants that had good sized orange flowers on them, and others with small white ones. She placed them down, then went back for yet another herb. She carried this plant carefully in her jaws, making sure not to fracture the plant in any way. This one she placed down with so much care, one might have thought it was going to explode if placed harshly. She looked at the class and sat down. She was quiet for a moment to make sure she had everyone's attention, then indicated the orange flowered herb. "Marigold is one of the most common healing herbs. They live through winter without as much problem as many other plants, and bloom year 'round. They are distinguishable by these bright orange, red, and yellow flowers, often fire-like in a field. They can be chewed into a poultice to prevent infection, as well as placed on cracked pads to ease pain, or chewed to relieve chills." She pushed the blooming plant forward for them to get a better look.

Dimitri turned to the white flowered plant, then, and waited for everyone to settle again. "Yarrow, too, is a common herb. It must be consumed, in somewhat large amounts, to induce vomiting. It can also be chewed and placed on wounds to prevent infection and ease pain. Notice the small, white flowers? They can also come in a deep purple, and they bloom throughout the year, though frost can kill them." She made this one brief, as Yarrow was a simple herb. She didn't give as much pause before turning to the final herb, and she did not touch it as she indicated it. "Nightshade is a very deadly plant. I wanted to show you it so that you know what to look for in case of poisoning, and to sho you how you can treat it." She paused.

"Nightshade is one of the deadliest plants known to us, it's berries literally nicknamed 'Deathberries'. Nightshade leaves tend to be pointed, and covered in a light fuzz, tending to stick to you if rubbed the wrong way. The flowers usually have five petals, and vary in shades of purple, with bright yellow center elongated. The berries are bright red, sometimes with purple stems." She stopped to turned the plant of with her paw, then looked up at everyone again. "If one consumes these berries, they are most likely to die unless they are immediately treated. Even then it can be too late. To treat death berry poisoning, I suggest yew, it causes instant vomiting of all stomach contents and toxins. I was not lucky enough to find any today, unfortunately. Yarrow may work, but it can work too slowly. Do not lick you paws after touching the plant, wash them in water, I myself will be washing out my mouth and paws." She said. as she trotted to the water and did such.

She spat out water as she stood tall again and gingerly threw dirt over the deadly plant. She sat down after she was sure nothing would find it in their curiosity and eat it. She grinned. "Alright, class is over after this one last test." She said, then was silent a moment. What to say... She sniffed, then looked over at the waiting wolves. "Alright, I will give you three questions regarding all that I've said, you will answer with what you think is correct. Do not copy just because you here another, because it's always possible that they are wrong." She looked over the pond, then began.

"One; If you just survived through a battle, what herbs are you most likely to need? Yarrow, Marigold, Black willow, or yew? Two; A young wolf has swallowed bright red berries that you suspect to be Nightshade, what do you do? Pass it off as juniper, force the wolf to eat yew, take the time to check if the stem is purple before deciding, or make them eat a bit of yarrow? And three; Marigold and Yarrow share the ability to survive through winter unbothered by frost. True or false?" Dimitri paused to wait for their answers. She would leave after everyone else, maybe with her white partner at her side.

“She Speaks.” She thinks. She does.
