Year SixSeason: Winter Month: December Breeding / Birthing: Year Round There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

And just what was it that had the little creatures scurrying out of the way? Why it was Briagenn, of course. A russet embodiment of sin and foulness incarnate, shoulders rolling as the glassy torpedo slipped through the water with a rather unearthly silence.
This place was new, and the battle-scarred prince had let himself grow comfortable in his old lands--now, it was time to find some place else to conquer. This thought in mind left the tattered brute with a placid smile draped across his mug, tongue lolling out to slide fluidly over the constantly rippled facade that was his permanent sneer.
Yes, this would be a lovely place to begin what some might call a hostile takeover, though he would simply settle for calling a proper invasion. With this thought in mind, dual-toned gaze would slip over the rest of the area, nose tilted upwards to draw in a few deep scents. Ah, mingling all with one another into one great ball of perfection, he nearly quivered with both delight and anticipation, a soft wheeze of pleasure puffing in a little plume from blackened lips.
Yes, today would be the day he would begin looking for recruits, for a King most certainly needed subjects. The Pale Kind indeed, it was nothing less than the ideals of a mad royal that would bring such an action to light.
With rust-dipped tail coiled high over his spine, skull pulled itself upwards to settle squarely and neatly upon his shoulders, and the proud march of the prince of phantoms began with following the winding curve of the river.
A scowl of disgust crossed his features as the muddy ground did it's worst to stain the otherwise pristine coat, and the first thing on the itinerary this afternoon was to find a proper den with a throne fit for nothing less than himself...and perhaps pick up a straggler or two on the way to meld them into his perfect warriors and loyal subjects.
No, Briagg didn't ask for much--except, of course, the silent, unquestioning loyalty of those that would come to follow in his dark path.

Heike were trotting confident, he hadd just, by very much luck, get a deer, born this year almost run into his jaws, it was escaping something, and in the panic state of mind, probably never saw Heike against the white snow. His muzzle, cheeks, chest and front legs were smeared in it's blood. It hadd been a feast and Heike hadd stuffed as much as he could handle into his belly.
He then noticed a brown colored wolf. Male, slender he was. Maybe arround Heike's age. he seemed to be grinning there he was walking. When Heike came closer he seemed to be of the rather over confident type. Heike wrinkled his nose slightly as he slowed down, not sure how much space the other male wanted.
"Why, don't we look determined?" Heike said with a slight grin.

The white firefly, once light up; never switches off. Like a fire borun under her paws, like walking trough hell. Pondering on the pond of thoughts inside of her head, grown deep and beating the same blood. The Northern Valley always has been so poetic, has it? Harriet wasn't sure so, if comparing to her old home and it's surprisingly has a good view, and was pretty much populated with many mammals. Truly a hunting paradise.
This was a half of paradise too here, to be honest even being a while on Torva she didn't really go and explore many places yet. But here was familiar to her, as she met Athena her and gave her trust on her and now is a part of the gang, along with other followers, surely.
But as going on her way, seeming endless, she felt presence; a faint scent of presence but it wasn't really clear. The sheet of grass bed, was in front of her; just asking for her to rest and forget. Oh no it wasn't time for it so, it felt like a beautiful day, and clouds weren't guarding the sun, the sun was just flickerty flicking to her fur, bouncing the light and hitting a shadow on the ground. Her fur looked luxurious, she just had to flip her colorfully painted fur, her coat was a masterpiece of nature... and genetics. But as soon she opened her eyes, she saw two male wolves, probably chit chatting, they weren't so very familiar either, but she'd better watch them from distance, who knows? Maybe she isn't welcome here...

The day had been pretty pleasant for the young, cream girl. This morning, She had woken to the sound of a hare munching on leaves nearby, and successfully caught the fat, white thing without any need to run after it. The weather, though still cold from it being winter, was calm and only a thin layer of snow covered the ground under Dimitri's paws, many patches of grass were visible and the sun was nice to bask under in these dry spots. This Valley even brought back a nice memory for the girl. This area was where she had met Heike, a kind, older male that she had promised to meet again.
With a swish of her tail, Dimitri returned to the present. She smiled, thinking it nice to have good memories. All and all, she was in a pretty good mood as she walked along a river, remembering the fine taste of salmon. She didn't like the cold water, though, and was quite content without eating for another day or two. Her ear twitched as she heard others. One voice, and the familiarity was a bit surprising.
The youth looked over to see the two males speaking. One was a creamy white color with rusty red and copper covering the rest of him, and the other was the large, white figure of Heike keeping a safe distance from this scarred wolf before him. Dimitri's ears pricked but she still missed the words that formed on Heike's lips, but no matter, she trotted over, still in quite a fine mood to greet him.
“Hello, Heike, it's a fine day to meet again, is it not?” She asked him with a grin before turning to the redder male. His face was horrendously scarred and twisted into a permanent sneer, barring his teeth without seeming to try. “Greetings.” She said to him quietly, not all that interested in his over-confidence and sneering face.

"Well don't we ask inane question?" came the response. The voice that drolled out was like running silk over gravel--a smooth, yet rumbling baritone that had the feel of a distant thunder to it--perhaps, the calm before the storm. With his otherwise unchanged expression, a snort was issued from his jowls and he turned to continue walking. But oh, wait. A female. This meant that the chivalrous and yet rather sexist being would have to give her a proper greeting, and he actually dipped his head in something of a polite bow," Good afternoon, miss." Well, that was certainly a pleasant switch from the biting remark that snapped out of him when it came to the male. Single eye looked up and over, catching the sudden and sharp gleam of a painted coat against the downbearing of the sun. Hm. Had he been a more pleasant type, he would have greeted this one too, but a female without the will to come and introduce herself had no place being in his presence.
Of course, his overconfidence was not unfounded, for it was a cool and calm collective of pride and self-assurance--each scar was a battle won, and he had a perfect record. No reason to be humble or modest. For the sake of making a proper impression, the pale king rolled his head back on his shoulders to crack his neck,"A den. There is one available around these...parts?" It was exceedingly difficult to mask the disdain he felt speaking to such rabble.

“Hello, Heike, it's a fine day to meet again, is it not?” Heike knew that voice at once, it was Dimitri. His grin disapeared and his eyes softened. "Hey, girl, are you here again?" He said, his ears lowered alittle on his sides and he smiled at her.
"Well don't we ask inane question?" the other, grinning wolf replied then and Heike's ears rised and he turned at him at once, very angry. He dared to interrupt his greeting with Dimitri. " Good afternoon, miss." the wolf said then at Dimitri, much more friendly. Heike's ear twitched when he heared his tone.
The wolf looked up, and Heike followed his glance, another female stood over there, but the other wolf didn't pay much attention to her. "A den. There is one available around these...parts?" he then asked, but Heike didn't feel like this rude male deserved an answer, and he was gonna use that den for the night him self.
"Hey, scarface!" He barked at him. "I don't like your tone! Why are you searching for a den? What is your silly plans for this place anyways." He asked rather cross. If that grinning wolf even dared to go anywhere near that den, Heike would chase him far away, he tought.

As well she saw one more wolf coming, the white firefly noticed that the wolf seemed familiar with one of them. Well, but the scent of all the wolves seemed mixed; her own was the only unique. She truly felt that her band will arise someday like once great it was with the name Korinth, except the leader was a slack, he didn't even show up anymore; oh well, probably found an nicer land than Torva, but the nations beyond the towers here to her are still unknown and alien to her, maybe if there is a land further, he is there..? Harriet actually, even if not a leader anymore and he doesn't know it, the wishes to meet him again would make her a lot more than happier, it is always nice to get in terms with other wolves.
But as she heard the voice of the male calling her, "Good afternoon to you the same." She tried to be as polite as possible, even is she usually is; but since those were completely new faces in these lands, even if she lived here before with no life in the crowned once majestic place, that was ruled under many packs, including her old and first one, she wasn't sure if her new pack would be considered a second one, maybe it would; since Athena took over it with her good intentions, now, we have achieved so much already! But it was time for Harriet to wake up from her thoughts,
Her legs lead her closer to the other wolves, as not too close but not too far; as acceptable to talk. The one seemed a bit of a mischief; or something else, and second seemed already fallen head over heels over the third lady, certainly same age as her, but Harriet's size makes her seem tad bit younger; blame the genetics for the munchkin legs, the shortie legs, whatever. She is fine for whatever they think about her, the distance probably made her seem normal, so now whatever strikes over; she doesn't care, her heart, guts and brains are bigger than anyone she met her age in her past, it is funny how she already have went trough a lot at that time and so on.

Dimitri's eyes widened in surprise and indignation as this coppery red male turned his actions around and politely greeted her after a rude retort towards Heike. She would have snapped at this new male had she not heard Heike's own words of greeting first. “Yes, I am.” but she spoke tensely, and it was quite obvious that her mood had changed. “Who does he think he is?” She growled under her breath to Heike, as if this coppery male was revolting.
Heike spoke after the coppery male's question for a den. “Hey, Scarface!” He barked loudly and Dimitri looked at him with slight surprise. “I don't like your tone! Why are you searching for a den? What is your silly plans for this place anyways.” The white wolf snarled at the coppery male. Next to him, the cream youth stood tall, waiting for Scarface's reply, glad for a good, insulting name to call him.
The youth saw movement and heard the greeting of another female. This pale girl was, more or less, Dimitri's age, maybe younger. She was small, and the cream youth stood taller as her presence was known, looking this girl up and down for any chance that she would become a challenge. She glanced at Heike, hoping he had not noticed her own stance change. After sizing up this new female, Dimitri looked back over at the coppery male, waiting for his reply to Heike's words.

Briagg's ears flattened slightly against his skull, as if he were apprehensive for a moment, though this wasn't the case. After a moment, he advanced forward, heading towards the male that had had the gall to insult him, though every motion in his step read 'submission', rather than foul play. And this was why he was a horrible person--a silver-tounged actor to which the whole world was a stage. And once he drew close enough to him, provided the other didn't run away, he raised his head. "My plans do not require the pathetic whimperings of worms such as yourself." He suddenly snapped, jowls pulling back into a snarl as a leer drew over his features and shoulders rolled back as weight was suddenly squared on his paws."My plans do not concern those that which I will crush. And I will start with you." There was no pause in-between the last word and his sudden lunge forward, and provided Heike had been silly enough to believe the submission pose that he'd adapted on his advancement. Within that forward lunge, jaws were parted and all intentions were to clamp his teeth tightly around Heike's maw. There was no little scuffle or little bit of play with him, and had this initial attack ended up working, He would pull back with the same flash of speed with all intentions of dragging a sizeable amount of flesh from his face. Scarface, was it? Now there would be two.

Briagg spoke, words Heike did not hear, he looked submissive as he came closer. Did he really think Heike Feikesonn is this stupid?
Heike tried to shove Dimitri out of the way and jumped to the other side with a large growl, he was right, the bastard was gonna attack, and he dared to hide it! With a wild snarl Heike turned towards the brown brute. "You trickster! You low life son of a bitch! How dare you walk with these lies!?" He shouted, fur standing stiff on his neck and back, his rised tail were three times it's size. Heike lunged forward, his strong back legs trusting him forward into a jump toward the coward, as with Hythyr, Heike landed out of range and sprung to the side as fast he could, but had learned that this was considered a obvious move and copied the move he did first, the step were he had instead of finting, gone for Hythyr, Heike spun around the brown wolf and when at his left flank he attempted to bite his hip, and if he succeded he would sink his teeth as far in he could and tear at him as he jumped away. If not he would just jump out of range to try something else.

As soon as the malicious battle between two males started, the white firefly just sighed and sat a bit further away, and watched the battle. It remind her a lot she saw in her past, battles for food and just normal spars. A battle is a battle; isn't it? But it would make no sense for her to interrupt the fight, she likes the calm peace more, than war. Hope the wolf version of World War I doesn't start! She even giggled of the thought. But actually it isn't funny at all, she only fights actually because of enemies or because of hunting. She eyed at the clouds and her surroundings, good that nobody hasn't came yet, and even better if nobody comes even later. She looked over the other female, she seemed that few moments ago that she wasn't very so friendly, and becoming friends would be on the hard way, sad; but guess not, if she is a wrong person to be friends with. But two of the males didn't look very nice so far either, but mostly the male of Arachea smell. And the pale one seemed to be a challenge spar fighter. Many of those were in her past, many of them were big rusty and mean males, rarely females.

Scarface pulled his ears back and began to stalk forward in feinted submission. She could see what was going to happen before it commenced. The coppery male's feign was seen by Heike, as well, and Dimitri almost yelped when he shoved her out of the way. Somewhat surprised, the cream girl lurked back and crouched down at a safe distance from the two. It was not her time to act, anyway. Right now, this was the white wolf's battle and his battle alone. Yet, he probably wouldn't be too upset if the green-eyed youth stepped in if, no, when it got too serious. This was a scarred opponent, the more scars the more battles he's survived. It is not a good idea to fight the most horrendously scarred opponent you may ever meet, but Dimitri would not tell him off. Not now, not ever, she'd be happy if Heike stayed alive. This fight may leave him as scarred as scarface.
The youth looked over at the pale female, who was watching from a safe distance. She seemed to be observing the people, not the fight. She must not know this male, and she looked small and harmless. Of course, looking and being are two totally different things, she just seemed to look almost horrified by the battle, in Dimitri's eyes, so she probably didn't like fighting. The green-eyed youth, however, would not be watching the fight to see who did what or even who won. She was watching to make sure Heike was not wounded too badly. If he was, Dimitri's wrath would come out on Scarface, and he would regret his choice of attacking at all.

Oh? So that was what he was going to do? There was no playtime with Briagg, and he didn't tease. As the other male leapt to try to reach behind him, he took the moment to stay still--and as Heike leaped at his flank, he suddenly dropped his weight to the side and aimed so slam his hips right into Heike's waiting mouth. Unless Heike had the ability to stop on a dime, he'd get both a mouthful of hip and a sudden daze from the extreme force that was thrown about by the other male's weight. Taking the opportunity, providing that the other male was dazed and too pre-occupied with the flesh in mouth to respond in time, he dipped is skull down, twisting his body to the side to catch the tendon of his back leg, and pulled back with a violent shake of his head. Unless Heike had eyes on the back of his head, this would be incredibly difficult to avoid, and the fact that he was more than likely going to lose the tendon and ligament that worked at that back leg--and that would be a permanent injury. However, in the event that Heike had an other-worldly sense of premonition and somehow managed to avoid this, that was fine. The sudden blow to the face with a hip would give him more than enough time to alter his poise and pull his head back to latch on to the other's tail, not a hint of sympathy in him. If t happened to be the tail that was grabbed in his jaws, the same action would be taken--a rip and a tear until either Heike released his hip, or the tail in his mouth was no longer attached to the body. It would be a souvenir. As for the females off to the side, this was fine. However, if the first wanted to join in, so be it. He wouldn't hesitate to cripple her either, though he might perhaps feel a small amount of guilt afterwards.
[So to recap. Damage taken- bite to the hip. Attacks made - Attempt to rip away tendon of nearest back leg OR attempt to rip off tail/make other release hold.][B]

Dimitri's back tensed and she rose a little from her crouched position. Scarface's movement had been confusing at first, but now she realized that he had purposefully allowed Heike to bite his hip, Actually he made sure to swing his hips so that they hit Heike harshly, to strain his jaws. A growl rumbled deep in her chest, as she knew that this was a seasoned fighter. She held her position as if about to jump into battle herself, as she knew she would if too much damage was given to her companion. The battle was already dangerous, even in the very beginning.
As scarface spun around to bite into Heike's back leg, the girl would have no idea about the danger of the tendon, but she did know that there was permanent damage-ability when it came to the legs, and so she watched on her toes, ears straight up and hackles raised. She was thankful for Heike's quick thinking and twisting around as if to groom himself, only to place a paw onto the neck of his attacker in hopes of releasing his leg before too much damage was taken.
The cream girl was ready to jump in at any moment, because, even with Heike temporarily on top, the tables can turn so easily. It was very unfortunate, how quickly and easily the likely winner can change. How long can Heike stay atop this scarred old male, if he cannot even defeat a male younger than her?
