There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

Aro'lahn will be taking on a new name as the loss of Nahrus causes Azren's true colors to shine through. The pack, now called a family takes on a devastating change as violence and cruelty seeps into it's very core. Welcome to Torva's own Mafia. Newcomers are welcome as well as returning and current members! Keep an eye out for updates on the pack page as well! Muse Music: You're gonna go far kid - The offspring

"Show me how to lie, you're getting better all the time."

Once upon a time, The Whispering Vargo had been claimed by a strong man,a leader who believed everyone had their place as long as they worked for it. Once, a mountain had stood where now only a shadow remained...it's people believed that the shadow could bring them forward and make them strong again but his heart was weak and as he realized the one he loved had vanished along with his "queen" he hid away from the world, letting darkness creep back into his demented mind. This time, there would be no changing the disfigured man. A soul led into a dark abyss and beyond healing.

Slowly, the shadow was reminded that there was something...missing. A home. He had a home though didn't he? He clearly remembered claiming the land..the pain..the heartbreak when their leader turned coward and left them all to die in the chaos and what else? Ah, the cruel heartless bitch that brought him so many troubles he could rip her throat out if he saw her again. Then there was someone he...loved...she was gone..no hope for a normal future could be seen but a home he would have and a pack he would develop...Aro'lahn...was no more.

"And turning all against one is an art that's hard to teach."

"Azren..." His ears twitched, eyes darting about behind his closed lids and legs kicking lightly. He was falling, falling into a pit of black...a never-ending darkness. "Wake...up...." As Alexanders voice echoed in his mind, his whole body trembled. "Wake....beautiful." His eyes shot open, the ashen devil gasping for air as he slowly pulled himself up off the muddy ground. How long had he been unconscious? Trying to remember only gave him a headache. Slowly he scanned the terrain and it hit him...he was home. His scent was strong here...marking the border of his land...of his destiny.

"Now Dance fucker dance, man he never had a chance..."

A low growl escaped his parted lips as he trudged deeper into his lands, finally coming to rest outside his den where he lifted his head and sliced the cool quiet morning with a deep mournful song, calling out to his pack members as well as any loners nearby. Asking them to come to him, come join the legacy he was forming. A great family that would rule the lands of Torva. When his song ended, the mud-slicked form, obviously malnourished began cackling madly. "Oh so beautiful..."

There was once a female who fell prey to vanity, to love and power and the opportunities it brought. She believed herself to be a queen more than a mother, a ruler as opposed to a caregiver. And though she cared for her children the lights of her life, her legacy, her own ambitions kept them from her and inevitably became her demise. She perished same as she was brought into the world cold and alone with only the crows to pay witness to her existence. Their beady eyes, and those that were her mirror image that found the remains resting against the mountainside. None but the cawing scavengers would know of the final words that felt from her lips, but what remained of her brows, sunken with sorrow would convey the words that were whispered from her maw;

‘Forgive me.’

And on this same plain of life, there existed a troubled woman, compelled to travel the lands for what she knew to be lost. Her searching gaze no longer searched for the sun-kissed mountain, but for the tarnished queen that left her children alone. This woman had no purpose other than that she could give to the family. She believed her life to be expendable, stumbling to the rhythms of a mournful drumbeat. She believed there was nothing for her, other than to wander. The children had worried for their mother and months passed without sight or voice. And during this time, this woman kept away from the lands as well, believe it her duty to blood to return the lost queen home. Yet… she hadn’t believed it to take so long.

In a desperate grasp for hope she searched, crossing the lands the pair of them had tread together, from the Carpathians that marked her betrayal to a pack, to the Lemures which marked the reunion place for the siblings. But she found nothing… not even a scent. And even the strays that scoured the lands could point her in her clear direction. And desperate still, the woman changed her direction from the Torvan lands to reaches more familiar… more treacherous and scarring. Her mind could not yet fathom why she had turned back towards her homeland, but her heart knew. It always knew. And it was there that her search ended amidst the frozen mountains to the far, far North.

It was there that the life of the Exultare changed, upon the lands that brought her pain and still held to its expectations. She had always felt a home with her sister and the family the birthed into the world. Among them, she found the luxury to curse both herself and her existence, claiming there was nothing of purpose for her. But with that precious thread of life severed, she came to realize that she was nothing more than a fool for squandering her fortune. She was not truly without purpose but chose to live that way all because she had lost a love she wanted to dearly.

She had forsaken a home for this sham, a true life, a family, blinded by her own imposed purposelessness. She had been the abandoner as she had accused that fool to be, following the tail of a ghost believing it would bring her a means to life on even there one was kept in front of her. She felt foolish…ashamed. And truly alone. And it was all her doing.

Despite this realization, the woman was in no rush for redemption, for who was she to ask for an offering this undeserved? A new life without the accusations that would reign true would have done better than to suffer the punishment that was bound to happen. She was no more than a ghost anyway… it seemed logical to fade away as one. But she couldn’t…rather, she did not want to. She did not want to be as her sister, a ghost which none but her offspring would recollect in fondness. And in truth, that sliver of purpose she managed to encapsulate had been found in the Vargos. However fleeting, but it was there. And that was what bid her to return.

Her large frame was not the same as she had left the lands in. She was terribly sunken and haggard, a price paid for refusal to eat and groom believing the luxuries were undeserved. And in truth, she could not make herself release the bone clasped between her teeth; the mandible of her sister stripped clean of its flesh and bleached by the sun. But her walk was as it always was, meaningful, belonging, even though she felt in her heart this was not the case. Her arrival to the lands was a fair time since the beaconing call range out. An echo could still be heard on the wind but had faded before she passed the haunt of where the Exultare family resided. And it was there that the woman left her sister to rest, leaving the bone exposed to what elements may further tarnish it. At least in her eyes, she had brought her sister back to where she held greater influence to those she left behind.

The female lifted her head and bid a mournful cry to the endless reaches, ascending the lost soul to the heavens and making a small prayer to dispel the demons carried by her sibling. And when she breathed again, her muzzle returned to the sky yet again with a sorrowful tone as well as an announcement to the one that called before her. Then leaving the bone to rest, she retraced the paths she had committed to memory. The same route she had walked along before, of the lands she had called home and hoped to do so again.

‘Ascend this soul into the embrace of the beyond, where the ancestors may watch over her and begin her life anew. Forgive the crimes of her character and look only at her loving intentions, and praise the life she brought into this world. Love her as I have, and take her soul to a peaceful rest…’

‘Please forgive my damning trespasses, the path that led me astray from your side. I prepare myself for the consequences of my abandonment…My King. Whatever wrath you seek to bear down upon me.’

I apologize to everyone for the confusion. Obviously there were some misunderstandings. Despite this Aro'lahn will be making some changes, so please keep an eye out for updates! Muse Music: Josh Turner - Would you go with me

Minutes felt like hours before his call was answered by a familiar voice. His ears perked forward and the man blinked a couple of times. Was he dreaming? "No stupid." Alexander retorted. Still he wondered if he was going insane...no, it was to late for that. He'd lost his mind when he'd lost the woman he had been falling in love with. Before she had left, he hadn't realized just how much she meant to him but now it burned him to his very soul, it was right there in front of him in vivid colors. There was a problem. Would anyone, even Nahrus still care for the malnourished king who had returned to his lands a shell of the man he was becoming?

"Times are changing..." Alexander reminded the black beast, his voice filled with venom. "And they will..." He muttered as the woman came into view. Her appearance proved her voice to be real. Tired as he was he decided to wait for her where he sat instead of running to her as he wished he could have done. He'd changed so much but his dull blue eyes brightened when he saw her, showing that somewhere inside lingered hope. Oh my beautiful one, what has happened to you. He thought, a soft whine escaping his lips as thunder roared to drown it out.

When she neared him he cleared his throat, the battle scarred silhouette preparing to speak. "Nahrus..." He barely managed a whisper as he felt a deep pain run throughout his very being. "Where...have you been?" He questioned before shaking his head as he stood, walking to the woman and nuzzling her muzzle in a gentle, caring manner. "Nevermind it...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry for your loss." But there was something else he wanted to say..something much more important.

"I searched....for so long..Nahrus I...I love you." He muttered, without even thinking about what he was saying. "Stand with me...honor me as my queen?" "Oh come on...you plan to run a pack that is cruel and unforgiving and you expect her to be yours...fool...such a fool." But for the moment Azren ignored the voice and watched the woman before him as the rain gently caressed his skin, washing away the mud that had slicked his thick coat, the only thing hiding his weakened body.

It hung in the air, the overbearing stench of stagnation about to be washed away by the rains. Death still clung to her muzzle, the scent not easily rid of without some kind help from the fates. But would they be kind enough for that? She did not believe them to be. She deserved to wallow in the stench, make it a part of herself to forever remember her sibling…misguided as she was.

Yet the fates would be merciful. She could hear their promise of rain in the rolling thunder, the brief flashes of ethereal light and the heavy scent of the sky. Perhaps this was not to wash her clean but offer the tears she could not bring herself to shed. Her head low and humbled, she neared the keeper of the lands, his scent overpowering even from her distance rank with unkemptness though she was no better. From her bowed head she dared to look at him from beneath lowered brows, holding tightly to humility for the sake of being in the presence of her judge and jury.

She said nothing to his greeting, not to appear weak but because she couldn’t. The lack of use of her voice made it terribly painful to articulate anything audible. Save for a song or whine, it was useless she believed. A mental anomaly brought on by guilt. Reflexively she delicately opened her maw to greet his address with an apology, but nothing other than a whine could be hear. Nahrus closed her eyes in shame, turning her head away from his sight then lower still as the first patters of rain tapped the top of both crown and muzzle. How could she explain where she went if the rain intended to wash away the proof of her travels? How was she meant to say anything at all if her voice refused to work? Damned to silence. Fitting for one that hardly spoke.

She caught the hint of his rise and immediately lowered her form to the ground, humbling herself as she prepared for her reprimand. His anger wouldn’t have surprised her… whatever manner he chose to punish her she could have undoubtedly embraced with hesitance. She had wronged both him and the pack as a whole and deserved that he saw fit. But she was not prepared for his touch, so soft and gentle to her weathered hide, nor his condolences to the loss of her sister. She knew he and X’yrin never got along; one seeking to prove their worth while the other was content to rule as is. It seemed unfair that a force beyond their comprehension would intervene but who was she to pass judgment? Nothing but a woman seeking redemption…nothing more.

She could not shake this surprise, however, and her once laid ears sat atop her head attentively. Her brows were raised with perplexingly as her eyes lifted to study the starved face of Aro’Lahn’s king. She could not have heard him, the tone in his voice was to convey anger… not longing. He had this all wrong… he should have been punishing her. And still her expression took on alarm as what followed his confession of longing was coupled with a heartfelt admittance of love; a love she hadn’t felt she deserved.

He loved her. And wanted her to be beside him. He loved her… he loved her. And yet no matter how many times she spoke it in silence or how hard she tried to believe it as truth, she couldn’t readily accept it. This was not how she expected it to be. Anger, hostility, exile… but not this. She simply did not know where to begin. And her surprise waned and gave way to concern then inevitable became drench in question as the rained proceeded to pour.

"She won't even speak...this is the woman you almost died for? You're kidding right?" Once again the ashen king ignored the words of the voice. His words were worthless at the moment, he couldn't change Azren's mind. He truly cared deeply for Nahrus and despite her silence he felt the same. Dipping his head down he gently cleaned the woman's face despite the rain that washed over them both. Genuine concern showed on his features as he watched her. It was as if his silence was a plea, he needed her answer. If she would not have him at least he could be freed of that which plagued him.

After a moment he fell back on his haunches, his blue eyes still trained on her. "It would be stupid to punish someone who means more to me then the rise and fall of the sun each day. More then this pack, more then anything." He wasn't sure how else to show her that he was serious and soon, it wouldn't matter because something even more important was about to become announced. Something he hadn't really expected.

Silently as a cat she walked slowly towards the call of her king, not expecting the answering call that followed and confirmed the fate of her mother. Adelais had come to realize she was a confused soul - her mother but still the thought of her death so lonely and cold was beyond anything she had ever imagined. She would have preferred to have had a chance to say goodbye but now, it was to late. Her blue eyed gaze was kept on the ground as she walked, deep in thought. She was growing up and becoming a beautiful young woman but still she needed a parental figure to guide her.

She needed someone who could keep her from becoming that which her mother had become. Would Azren or Nahrus help her? She would soon find out. Stopping short of the two she'd watched, listened silently for a few moments before stepping forward, undeterred by the physical condition of either of them. "Aunt Nahrus, Azren..." She murmured, licking gently under the males chin to show her submission to the alpha. "What now?" She asked, feeling there was no need for explanation. She had truly grown but still she needed something...someone.

Yet another familiar voice to his ears but this one different then when he'd last heard it, his blue eyes met their mirror and he smiled softly. "You've grown so much Addy." He murmured but as her question reached his ears he sighed and fell into thought, trying hard to answer with the right words. "I'll always be here for you Addy, I'm not your mother...and I've no clue where your father is but I am more then willing to be here for you..."

The young woman was satisfied with his answer, and lowered herself into a play-bow before pouncing the alpha and washing his face with kisses. "Thank you Azren!" She exclaimed, playfully pawing at him. She didn't realize she may have hurt him in his current state, not until the male yelped slightly, offering a growl not in anger but in warning. She quickly jumped to the side and lowered her head, ears flattening. "Sorry I got a little carried away!

Azren coughed slightly and pulled himself from the ground, soaked with mud once more. "Let me regain my strength, then I'd be happy to wrestle Addy." He chuckled softly before turning his attention back to Nahrus, his eyes pleading and his heart racing inside his chest.

And still her words were basked in silence both by choice and ailment. She did not know how to get him to understand what compelled her silence or how confused his confession made her aside from the subtle crease of her brows. The question of how she had not seen this before was answered even before the question was formed. So enraptured with chasing the distant mountain she could not see the one standing before her always basking her in a gentle shadow taking true pleasure in her watchful gaze and presence. She had longed for that attention from another that she had not noticed the eyes that had turned in her direction til now. Shameful that she allowed herself to be so blind when she prided herself on her perception.

In vain she tried to free her muzzle from his onslaught, shifting left then right defiantly until she huffed in defeat and let it still succumbing to the endearing licks. She was still not ready to answer him, even if her voice was willing and able, she did not know what to say outright. By a saving grace she was freed from the pressure of responding to his plea. The smaller drenched golden form of the young Adelais drew near bearing the more pronounced hereditary resemblance of the Exultare. She had grown out of her childish body but was not yet into her full form. Some growing was yet to be done, but nearly there. And from the time of her birthing til now, Nahrus was seeing more of her sister in the girl. She had seen it when she tended to her and her siblings in the absence of their mother, and it was all the more pronounced now.

Nahrus could not look at her for longer than a glance in fear the pain of loss would seep into her gaze. She whined softly in acknowledgement to the child then carefully peeled herself from the ground to reach out and gently touch the young one’s ear. It was as close to X’yrin as the woman would ever be again.

She watched the interaction between the Alpha and child holding her reservations of their bond at bay. She had no qualms with it, and truly believed it to be a natural occurrence. Whom else but an Alpha was worth the affections of a child in the absence of her caretakers? She imagined the like would have happened to her own children robbed of their mother by a tyrants rule. By now, she surely would have been forgotten…

She felt the glacier gaze without having needed to see it, so used to it when in each other’s company that by now she could sense it just as she didn’t the ground beneath her paws. Now she understood why he looked to her so often, why he cherished her company and sought it so often. Clarity offered itself in the midst of her confession and now she was no longer blind to it… but could she be receptive of it? Could she at least try…? Carefully, she nodded. Yes. She could at least try.

For now, the voice that was Alexander ceased to protest, instead choosing to watch as events unplanned began to unravel. When they had first started traveling back towards the Vargo he had every intention on finding Xy and exiling her and her mate from the land but now it seemed finding her wouldn't be needed and he felt kind of guilty for ever having thought the way he had. Looking at Adelais, now he felt even more guilty but he didn't let it show. Instead he stepped up and licked her muzzle lovingly, accepting her as his own despite the fact she wasn't his and didn't even resemble him other then her icy blue eyes.

Still he watched Nahrus, studying her with great interest. It was when she had nodded that he smiled, happy that she would at least give him a chance. "Thank you..." He said, trailing off to think. "I wonder if more will come." He mused as his gaze turned to the shelter of his nearby den. "If they do then they can find me, it's not like it would take much effort...Come." He murmured as he slipped into the large den, slowly lowering himself to the soft fur-lined floor with a sigh.

Adelais followed his gaze, looking to her aunt and tilting her head curiously. She had overheard a little of the one sided conversation but not enough to know exactly how to react but she smiled when the woman nodded, though saddened by her silence. Awww She teased before following the alpha's cool gaze to the den. Their den, she realized rather suddenly. She new the alpha's den was the biggest, probably the most comfortable as well, they would be fine here.

Upon being asked she trailed the shadowy figure into the den and laid down nearby, allowing the new pair some space for the time being.

The clouds above the young, but not so young, cream girl began to bother her, but hunger forced Dimitri to simply increased her pace. I will not let a storm scare me out of this hare. She thought. Yet, exhaustion was creeping into her paws. She had gone two weeks without anything but berries. Berries kept the skinny girl from starving too soon, but they could not sustain her forever. Neither can these damn Rabbits!

The scent in the air changed and stiffened rather stunningly to Dimitri, causing the green-eyed girl to stop in her tracks. The scent was... Slightly stale, unmarked for longer than seemed usual. but is it possible, She wondered in silent caution. if they are still here? Maybe at least some stragglers? Stock still, the loner's ears strained as hard as possible. No sound but that of the wind and animals. How could she know?

A loud rumble filled the air around the girl and she ducked down a moment, only to realize it was her own grumbling stomach. She snorted in disbelief. Scared of your own shadow, you little pup! With a quiet, but determined growl, she moved forward in pursuit of the rabbit she had only scented half an hour ago. It wasn't long before she found the rabbit hole and growled. Asleep.

The rain pounded down suddenly and Dimitri ducked and snapped up, terrified and paranoid for a moment, yet again to find it be harmless, rain. She shivered as the girl relaxed her muscles a bit. The rain didn't bother the cream girl in the least, she had stayed out in the rain for hours at a time, but Dimitri knew that she would get sick if she slept out in it. She would wake with a cold, or something worse.

The cream wolf sat for a moment in the cool rain, the memories of a past she would not speak of saddening her. Dimitri snarled in sudden rage and swiped her claws across a tree trunk. “Why'd you leave me...” She whispered in the silence as the anger faded like night to day. Slowly it drained her and she didn't bother to continue hunting. The cream youth would sleep, alone as always, and she wouldn't bother running from her nightmare monsters tonight.

Dimitri didn't bother to take in the scents of the muddy clearing she passed, and when she spotted a den, the youth thanked the little luck she had. In fact, she ran to the den, thinking it might disappear if she didn't reach it faster than she could run.

And she slipped on the muddy ground, tumble rolling into the unfortunately occupied den and barreled into the soft fur of the floor. Finally catching the scent of the others, Dimitri tried to right herself, but slipped on her own big paws in her rush. She was speechless when she looked at the others in surprise and even horror.

Uh oh....Also, sorry, it's not the best post. I really need to regroup some...

His ears twitched with each rumble of thunder, the alpha male keeping himself alert to what was going on outside of his den while Adelais had curled up to sleep. He would protect her and his new mate to the very end and considering the fact he had invited all onto his land he was extremely vigilant, to the point of stepping outside every few minutes to observe the lands. So far he'd heard no answering cries and saw no one nearby.

His eyes fell on Nahrus and the sleeping girl who he now considered his daughter, wondering just what they were going through right now. Unfortunately, he hadn't a clue. Little did he know that very soon he would be forced to face a ghost that would bring him weeks of nightmares. When the answering call rang out into the air, he froze. A language he'd not heard in years rang out into the storm, slicing through it like a knife.

Not long after a soaked white form stepped in from the storm, his striking blue eyes peering at the black devil. Direct opposites, they were brothers. Azren stood slowly and dipped his head, hackles raised and tail high. "Bruder...." He murmured and he would not have believed it if he hadn't seen it.

Arok stared back at him, his ears falling flat against his head as he approached the ashen king, lowering himself to the ground before him. "Guten Tag, Wie geht es dir bruder?" He had no intentions to anger the other man, he knew there would still be hard feelings but he like Azren had been exiled.

Looking back at him he sighed and shook his head, flopping back to the ground with a yawn. No he was not happy with this new development but he would do with it. "Ich bin verwirrt. Kannst du kein Englisch?" He questioned. It was about then that the new female stumbled in and he stood once more, quicker this time, growling deeply as his hackles rose and tail held high. "State your business." He snapped, not expecting such a sudden intrusion or such rude behaviors.

Meanwhile, Arok stepped up beside his brother, staring at the intruder with wide blue eyes. Side by side they looked like twins despite the shocking color difference. "Of course, do not expect much from me though, I prefer our home language. I came to seek you out and join whatever pack you may be with, I didn't expect you'd have your own."

1.) Brother 2.) Good afternoon, how are you brother 3.) I am confused, Can't you speak english?

To clarify, he's confused as to why his brother is there. XD

The hesitation of her strides were evident, weighed by rain and unresolved conviction. What he asked he her still had not settled in her mind, too new, too fresh, and till ill timed with the death of her sibling still holding precedence. The young pup Adelias had gone to lengths to mask her loss of her mother, but the Exultare’s bond was stronger and the pain was still raw. Her sister having spent her life with her mirror image with the young pup only a few months.

When beaconed towards the den, she followed suit for logic’s sake in need to pull herself out of the rain and into the dry warmth of the den. A creature of solitary nature even among the Exultare family, she was used to finding her place at the back of the den, shrouded in darkness meant to be undisturbed by nothing other than her presence. And this practice she carried into the maw of this keep leaving the young female to curl upon the furred floor near her surrogate while the older female took her place at its rear. She lowered herself to the ground and made a comfortable circle on the bare floor. Her fur was still drenched and heavy and a chill from the cold had crept up her spine, but she was fine to deal with it in her solitude relying upon her own internal warmth. She let her head rest comfortably on her paws finding the gentle crevice made by the outstretched limbs before letting her eyes drift close for a moment.

Yet the precious moment was shattered by unfamiliarity. In her doze her ears had found the tell of the intruder before her nose could catch his scent. Her mind was forced into awareness with once blind eyes peering into the darkness of the den before they came affixed on a strange yet familiar face all the same. She showed not aggression but curiosity for this nameless male and the seemingly familiar relation he had with the dark shrouded male. And the language they spoke…it was lost to her ears. There was but sound and a harsh clip of the tongue but little more than that until the antics of a newcomer shattered the familiar bond and then there was only focus on her. Quietly, the newly proclaimed queen remained to the shadows of the den and watched the scene unfold.

Rushing in to find the two awake men who looked almost like two spirits of dark and light, Dimitri felt like a fool. Yeah, my luck has changed. The youth thought to herself. For the worst, and it's all your damn fault! Her ear twitched and she flattened them against her head. Another, or others, were awake, or maybe it was just a snore or someone moving in their sleep. Frightened out of her wits, Dimitri wasn't sure what would happen if she tried to stand to quickly.

The youth slowly brought her paws under her. “State your business.” The darker man growled deeply, followed by an odd comment by the white wolf that Dimitri didn't understand. They must have been talking before I walked in. She decided and shivered as they stood like twins next to each other. Two wolves that looked strong and fast, maybe not as fast as the youth, but they were likely to have more agility than her, with they're long tails.

Dimitri crouched and looked at them, head and tail low. She was in no shape to fight, a day of traveling and weeks without eating meant that the burst of speed she had put on to reach the den had been just about it. “I was looking for a place to settle for the night... Your borders smelled stale and I didn't expect any wolves to still be here.” The cream girl said quickly, feeling like a child with excuses.

Dimitri stood slowly, but stayed low. She was hit by a song she had heard earlier and been distracted from when she'd found the rabbit trail. “A-and I heard something a little while ago... a call...” That was why the youth had been moving in this direction, but the rabbit was such a distraction that she had forgotten it until that very moment.

Confusion was apparent in the features of the unnamed female who had been laying near his brother. It was interesting to him and he offered her a rather chilling smile, his stunning blue eyes looking her over to decide who she might be to his brother but his attention was quickly turned back to the ashen devil he'd sought to find. "Sie ist ein liebes Kind." He murmured before taking a stand at his side. "Es tut mir leid." He showed no signs of submission but he knew that Azren of all people would understand why. It was something between brothers. Though would Azren accept his automatic assumption that he would be accepted?

It was soon after he took his brothers side that the strange female had stumbled in, making quite the fool of herself. "Well well..." He growled. A soft sound that would only be heard by Nahrus and Azren who were closer to him. His hackles had already risen and he took a step ahead of his brother, ready to defend him if there would be a need. "Stale or not, you shouldn't cross borders without being sure." He turned his attention to his brother for a moment, noting the malnourished state the larger male was in. It saddened him but he figured it was why his borders markers were "stale" as she had put it.

For these reasons he would protect the man beside him, should the need come.

1) She is darling
2) I'm sorry...

That smile reminded him just who he was talking to and as his brother spoke he looked back to Nahrus with a weak smile before turning his attention back to the snow-colored man. "She is." He murmured raising a brow at the next statement. He knew what he meant but he couldn't believe he was hearing it. "I'm not sure I can accept your apologies at this time Arok, please give me some time. You are welcome here however as I will not turn away my own blood. We'll discuss your rolls later." There was no time right now.

His gaze fell once more on Demetri as she spoke and he sighed softly, shaking his head. "You are looking for a home then?" He questioned, watching her with interest. "If that is the case you are welcome to stay with us." He smiled at her kindly before turning to his brother. "It's okay, she's fine." He said as he lowered himself to the ground once more.

The interaction between the brothers was less amusing as it was painful to watch. The ease in which they spoke, the untold history that lied between them was clearly evident even if no word of the like what uttered. The woman could see it, plainly. For it was the interaction of a similar nature that she used to share with her beloved sister, and it was a bond she would never be able to entertain again.

She needn’t know the conversation of the siblings to know she was being talked about. When the glacier hues of white male turned to her, the autumn dame turned her eyes away before their gazes could linger then let her head fall back comfortably on her outstretched paws. Her presence was not needed for the introduction of this lone female into the pack’s midst, nor did she feel the necessity to add to their budding conversation. With a soft, deliberate sigh she coiled further into herself and again let her eyes close as she again fell into repose and left the guarding males to fulfill their roles as they saw fit.

The white wolf's words were lost to Dimitri's ears, the language strange and dangerous to her. Not understanding what one says can never be good, in the cream youth's opinion. Attention was turned to an fine autumn woman for a moment, and the green-eyed girl couldn't keep up with the brother's conversation, as the white one still spoke another language. Then the attention turned on Dimitri again.

Stale or not, you shouldn't cross borders without being sure.” Dimitri flinched at the scolding of the white brother and flattened her ears. In all honesty, the youth didn't understand what he meant by being sure. How could she be surer than not smelling others, unless she met or didn't meet another? It didn't come together in her head.

The Dark brother sighed with strange softness. “You are looking for a home then?” He brother asked. Dimitri blinked. She had been, for a long time. “If that is the case, then you are welcome to stay with us.” The cream youth tried to figure out how this could be a trap, or some kind of joke, but he smiled at Dimitri before turning to his brother again. “It's okay, she's fine.” He told his light brother as he lowered himself down to sleep.

Dimitri looked from the white wolf to the dark, then dipped her head to the Emperor. It didn't seem like it could be a joke or a trap. She took a moment to speak. “I am grateful for your kindness.” She told him earnestly. The youth looked around for a fine spot to sleep before turning back to Azren to be sure that there wasn't anything else.
