Year SixSeason: Winter Month: December Breeding / Birthing: Year Round There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

He was quiet, listening in silent anticipation as Nahrus explained to him what Aro'lahn was and its purpose. This was his chance to learn, to absorb information in this pleasant place, without having to scout or pry words from the mouths of others. Fanul's eyes glimmered in the sun, orbs of molten gold, deep and knowing although he was still young, filled with youthful wanderlust. To him, it seemed as though it would be worth his time to invest in a relationship with Aro'lan. Of course, he would need to do a little more research on the pack's intentions and customs, but he had an idea in his mind to make a visit at the Vargo's borders.
"The fire from the sky shattered many packs," Fanul noted aloud, remembering how Celahir was scattered, the kingdom falling into grief. "But it seems that Aro'lahn was strong to have survived. I commend you and your leaders." Dedication was something that Fanul had not know when he was still a wanderer. After meeting Antoinette, however, he developed a good sense of what it meant to be devoted.
In fact... "I would like to visit Aro'lahn," he offered. This was his chance to connect and forge bonds, bonds that could potentially prove the difference between life and death. And now with pups on their way, Fanul needed to secure a future for them. "I am the leader of Alyxio, a league of talented wolves from across the land. We now reside in the recently claimed Lemures Mountains, rebuilding a kingdom from the ashes of a storm."

Maya listened intently, desperate for a piece of information that would strengthen the fire within her heart. Thus far, nothing about the pack intrigued her. The pack had fallen apart when the fire rained. Despite any chaos, a pack should stick together. For her, it was the first indication that this pack would not suit her. She needed unity and stability, for her physical and especially mental well-being. The second tidbit of information bothered her as well. In her opinion, leaders did not claim the throne and make a pact to work together, especially if the two weren’t mates. They should fight, prove their worth. Maya did not believe in diplomacy when it came to leading a pack. She had decided – Aro’Lahn was not for her.
She nodded appreciatively to Nahrus, knowing that it was a privilege to be given information about a pack. Her gaze fell upon Fanul, who picked up where Nahrus left off. Maya listened curiously, wondering what the fox had to say on the matter. A look of surprise graced her features, only for a moment, before she wiped her façade clean of any emotion besides polite interest. She meant no harm in it, only that she did not expect him to want to pay a visit to the pack, especially if he did not intend on joining it. But why? Her question was answered when Fanul spoke again. Maya’s tail twitched in anticipation. Mountains? Rebuilding? That sounded like her kind of place. The high altitude warranted a sense of protection and safety. Mountains implied a degree of solitude and separation from the rest of the world, but not so much that a pack would be completely isolated. Yes, this was where she would go.
“I am interested in Alyxio.” She stated with a sense of poise, though the increased tempo of the thumping of her tail deceived her. “Most recently I’ve dabbled in the art of healing, although I have been trained as a warrior. Please allow me a chance to prove myself, prove my worth to the pack.” She spoke earnestly and met his gaze briefly, in order to convey her wholehearted interest in the pack, but very quickly averted the look of her golden eyes. She was no threat to his authority, and so she would show him that through submissive behavior. Maya had no intention of groveling – Maya never groveled, nor was she a kiss-ass, however; she did want to earn his favor and would do what she could to gain it.
