Year SixSeason: Winter Month: December Breeding / Birthing: Year Round There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

Eat me! = ) - No post order - Next round on Feb 6th (mon) - Go nuts! MOUNTAIN LION (Oolieauwou )
Life had it's privileges at the top of the food chain. Never once had a bird pecked on him, never once had a fox attacked him. Instead, it was always himself, Oolieauwou , who did the perusing of food. In the lap of Mother Nature, he felt complacently happy. Life was easy enough, finding food and dodging the wrath of random weather episodes surely caused by the earth spinning too fast. His mother had taught him that the balances of nature were as precarious as their personified tempers, some cold and spiteful, others warm and gushy. But Oolieauwou had never believed any of that bull. He felt that it was merely caused by physics - the tilting of the planet from side to side causing earthquakes, and tsunamis from when it shook itself of like a wet dog to cleanse itself.
CRACK He hadn't been paying that much attention, having walked this path hundreds of times. The half-eaten rabbit corpse fell lifelessly out of his mouth and seemed to float in mid-air for a few seconds before splattering across the rock surface below. Held helplessly by gravity, his eyes narrowed as he understood that he, too, would face the same fate. Perhaps it was the curse he had incurred from eating one too many healthy mountain goats, instead of only going after the sick ones. "Mama...", he whispered aloud to Mother Nature, hoping his cry would be enough to save him.
But Nature was a blind eye, a turned back. It was all he could do to yowl in pain as he hit the rock arrangements several feet below him with all the force of his fall and weight of his own body. He had hit on his side, and a distinct burning reverberated through his veins, along with the smell of blood that permeated all his senses. He stretched his neck to see his left arm and leg both together in an impossible position; he couldn't feel them. His side felt a foreign body penetrating his ribs.
Mother Nature had forsaken him. His eyes clouded over with rage. He would not die! He would be a god! He would live forever! He tried to claw at the open air around him, hoping that the furious movements of a turtle would somehow correct the situation.
Injuries:
- side skewered by a large rock (Oolieauwou is immobile)
- dislocated and nearly severed left front arm
- dislocated and nearly severed left back leg
- heavy bleeding (-3% each turn)
Attacks:
- trying to scratch anything that comes near with his right paw
Defenses:
- flailing about with random movements of right front and right back leg

Eat me - with a twist! - No post order - Next round on Feb 13th (mon) - Go nuts! MOUNTAIN LION (Oolieauwou )
How could things be like this? The world before him seemed clearer, sharper, than ever before, as if reverberating the very same pangs of pain within his side in every detail of the scenery. The edges of the leaves were needles, the tops of trees were razor blades, tree trunks as chainsaws. This was the world he had lived in, himself a giant among the petty creatures he ate.
And the wolves? The wolves were fleeting doves. Minescule, powerless, and as docile ad a Hindi cow, he had watched them dissent among themselves until at last they had broken, every last nation scattered to the wind. It was the cougars, the mountain lions who had reclaimed these lands. In fact, it was their fault this had happened to him, yes! It was the wolves fault that he had slipped and fallen! He hadn't been merely clumsy! They had pushed him down here!
"COUGARS OF THE MOUNTAINS, I CALL YOU! HEAR YOUR DYING SERVANT!", he bellowed with all his might. The force of his lungs sputtered blood trinklets from his puncture wound. "The wolves have returned. We must.. we must DESTROY THEM! This is the last dying will and testament of OOLIEAUWOU ! They have done this to me! We must not rest until every last wolf is dead!", he cried out with the voice to muster an army.
Yes, yes, that's it. They would destroy the wolves. It was their fault this had happened. They had caused them to leave once and they would do it again. The blood loss made his head feel woozy. As his claws scraped into open air, he had another idea of brilliance: he would not die!
Planting his scrambling claws into the ground as best as he could, he managed to use his muscles to pry his body from where he had fallen. Carefully, slowly, he regained his footing and stood, using the rock to lean himself against. A gaping hole spread the light from one side of his body into a maroon colored display on the other. In the ordeal, the remaining ties to his limbs had been cut loose, like mere threads to a carpet.
He gazed at his two shed limbs with a stone expression. "OOLIEAUWOU calls you ! The two-footed!", he called out , now searching right and left with blurry vision. But how to walk?

Eat me - with a twist! - No post order - Next round on Feb 27th (mon) - Go nuts! MOUNTAIN LION (Oolieauwou )
Even though it was day, the sky was like a great canvas, the events of all swirling around him, the very colors a beating heart of wild intentions. Each blink seemed to last to him several hours. Like a slow-exposure picture, the sights and sounds and hues all seemed to blur together. How long had he been here? What had happened to him? Somewhere inside him, he knew he was hurt, no, near death. But he couldn't feel it anymore.
His muscles managed to grant his desires to look down. A wince mauled his neutral expressions. Unsightly, he was hardly deserving to be called alive. Covered in a sticky red that pooled beneath him and gathered around two of his limbs, he could only wonder if this was all real. Was he dreaming?
"Sir?", he sound of another made his eyes blink rapidly and come back into focus. Before him, another of his kind stood, the light gathering around his edges like a golden sun. Oolieauwou tried to move his mouth, and suceeded, but nothing came out. What was it that he wanted? He wanted something, didn't he? What was this strange euphoric unworldy feeling?
"Shall I kill whatever has done this to you?", the voice came again, serving as a prodding from fantasy back into reality. This time, his mouth seemed to move by itself, answering, with words that seemed to strange. "Kill.", his jugular replied.
He felt so tired. No more words were exchanged and the variations of the world were once more captured in a long exposure picture. The dying light marked his companions silent departure. The man who had come felt so familiar, a smell like home. But for the life of him, he couldn't remember who it was.
For the life of him. Hah. So funny. So tired.

 MOUNTAIN LION (Oolieauwou )
His eyelids were weighted with sinking ships, the light before his eyes a whirlpool. He didn't feel ready to die, he didn't want to. But like a child who could no longer stay awake and succumbed to falling asleep in their own food, fork still in hand, and mouth still full of nearly masticated nutrients, it was happening anyways.
Like a nap that brought on a headache, he could feel it in his soul, but as hard as he struggled, he couldn't seem to do anything about it. He longed to get up, walk around, and shake off, where the world would be as it should. But his muscles had no will to proceed.
He felt numb to the world. A sensation on his neck produced even more pain, but it was only a drop in the bucket to what he already felt. He wanted to scream until his lungs burst out of his mouth. He wanted to fight. "M...", he started to say, but the words were drowned in now pouring lifeblood.
The lights faded.

 MOUNTAIN LION (Jakk)
Jakk had watched the end, but he hadn't really known the beginning. But it didn't matter. Oolieauwou never lied, a man of a golden heart, their commander of arms, their second in command. If he said the wolves had done it, then they had done it. And furthermore, he had heard the last words, spied the wolf at his throat.
Jakk's bronzed eyes gleamed from his hiding place, his amber and cream fur clothed with shadows. These wolves, they seemed to have no respect, no idea what they had just done. Their lack of respect was appalling. Oolieauwou had ordered war. But Jakk would not give him that. He deserved more. It was not war, it was extermination.
"You wolf! May the heavens smite your race! May Mother Nature you from her bosom. Your lack of respect is appealing.", his chest heaved under him as he spoke. He wanted to smack the wolf, to shake him up, and show him that the Mountain Lions were a pride not to be messed with. While they were more or less loners, it didn't mean that the Mountain Lions didn't care.
Turning, he slunk off into the shadows, his course paced straight for the most experienced of the large cats. Jakk would make him a war-commander today, he felt sure of it.
