There is no end to how cold it is getting, and there is only more winter to come! With the cold season comes extremes of ice and snow that can be painfully sharp on the paws in the north, even for the thickest pelts. Snow has been spotted in even the southern region's woodland cliffs and marshes.

THERE IS A PLACE WITHIN HIS MIND
BLACK MARKET BLOOD
WITH ARMAGEDDON CRAWLING

Oh, my fair lady, beware! Of the man whose feelings overpower him. Feelings beget sufferings, intense emotions promise deep sorrows. And these feelings are blind, indiscriminate, there can never be enough to satisfy his cravings. Oh, lady beware of the man who gently holds you hands, young in years, fresh in love. Inexperience will claim its toll of countless broken hearts. You are on his list, of that you can be certain. Fly away while you may, when the skies are still free, before he casts the net over you. The chains that bind lovers to eternity, also binds your limbs and consciousness to the endless cycle of deaths. To break clean, one must bleed yourself dry. Beware, oh fair lady, of his charms and smile. Run away lady, while you still can. But no one would be there to warn them away from Hades. Oh, God only knows the woe of a sinned mother, and her tears had fallen to the thirsty ground among the bodies of her children. Hades' mother had done nothing to stop the copious amounts of torture that his father had dealt upon him, and for that he despised her. His 'father' had fled, and for good reason. Had Hades managed to get a hold of him while he had been healthy and able, he would have torn him a new hole, besides his mouth, for his crap to fall out of.

The flowers were withering, winter was gripping them tightly, suffocating them. The brutish male moved past the stately tree, drawn by the allure of water. He moved towards the scent of water, and was immediately met with a stunning sight. There was a heavy snow settling on the ground, the moon's face reflection off each fragment. The moisture in the air seemed to cling to his very body, the find guard hairs coated in a thin shimmer, causing his body to erupt in a sight of glitter. Slowly, Hades trailed his way through the snow drifts. It was a small waterfall, creating a basin of sorts, partially frozen along the shoreline. Located among the trees, the falls were shielded from many of the frosty winds, although they allowed the occasional breath through that invoked feelings that were indescribable to even Hades. It was awe inspiring, this winter season, though Hades would allow no one to see him admire anyone, or anything. His toes spread widely with each step upon the ice, and tentatively, the massive beast ventured out across area that was usually inaccessible. It inspired wonder within him, and the scarred male marveled at the glittering ice floor, and the manner in which his breath escaped him in a vortex of fog. He tilted his muzzle towards the pallid moon, calm eyes trailing after the vortex as it danced and reached for the glow of the sky.

The forested pool, no matter how disrupted, always seemed to bring out the more reflective side of everyone; well, at least to Hades it seemed that way. Despite the icy winds, the older male breathed deeply, allowing the billowing hands to gingerly toy and tug at his thick fur. It was refreshing, to say the least. His tail curled loosely around his flank, its tip gently flitting to and fro in an manner most content. Although beneath this facade, he was pained, deeply pained. He yawned, his tongue curling at the tip. The sudden intake of breath momentarily invoked a more alert state in him, but it quickly dissipated. With a swipe of his paw, he brushed away the coating of virgin snow from the ice in front of him. His eyes returned to his reflection, but only for a moment before he raked his claws along the ice, distorting his image. Although others had called him to be a handsome beast on more than one occasion, all he saw was a hideous face.

Aurora

Certainly not one of your better moments, Aurry, thought the grey she-wolf as she fought her way through the dense undergrowth that refused to die even in the middle of January. Tired of the mountains, Aurora had decided on a change of scenery for the day. Having never visited the mysterious rainforest that lay to the northeast, she had set off down the mountains to explore.

That idea now seemed rather stupid.

It was a dark, cold night that night. Despite being able to see easily in the dark, the added shadows from the trees coupled with the seemingly-infinite vines laying in wait made walking through the jungle a nightmare. To top it off, there was no end to the variety of strange calls and noises in the rainforest. Aurora jumped at every strange shriek and cry. "This is ridiculous." she growled. She was a wolf, darn it! An apex predator! She puffed her chest out at the darkness. "I'm not frightened!" she challenged it. The forest answered with a terrifying shriek somewhere to her left. Now she was. Aurora bolted, not noticing the small bird with a massive voice sitting on a branch above her previous location.

She stumbled into a clearing that housed a semi-frozen waterfall. Aurora shook herself rapidly, shivering. Creepy-ass jungle. It was going to a be a long night. She ambled down to the river shore, glad to see the water wasn't completely frozen. She dipped her muzzle and drank, wincing at the cold water. A strange smell caused her to lift her head to see another wolf some distance down the riverbank. He was large fellow with a mottled pelt in shades of brown, but she could see black and white present as well. The first thing she noticed, however, was his scars. Not that she was repulsed. Having carried scars where a coyote raked her muzzle with dirty claws since she was a yearling, scars held no fear for her. "Oh, excuse me." she said. "I didn't mean to intrude on you." She wondered if he was one of the wolves said to inhabit this strange place. There was a pack here, she knew that, but she hadn't hunted and she figured she wasn't breaking any rules. Still, she planned to keep an ear open. Never hurt to be too careful with stranger packs, her time in Nix'rio had confirmed that.

"She speaks." She thinks. She does.

THERE IS A PLACE WITHIN HIS MIND
BLACK MARKET BLOOD
WITH ARMAGEDDON CRAWLING

Hades could depict the sound of the smokey breath of the water as it traversed beneath him. Gracefully, it seemed to be touched tenderly by ice maidens, silent thoughts appeared to sing as the water churned around him. The God's crystalline wine over rugged and verdant isles, it glimmered like an ancient and worn shrine, a mirror. A melody seemed to float upon the pristine surface, lingering within the cool sprays. Upon the creamy foam the tune rode, and silver notes seemed to gently coo to his ears. A symphony seemed to soar into the light above the flowing water beneath him. The opera never seemed to fade, still remaining a hymn of the lake. It was odd, how such simple and continues flowing of water could define and behold such complexities of life.

It was when the flower's bloomed, when the magic bell rings its melody to the song of the cool winds, in a dry season. That's when the rain-sodden land breathes deeply with leagues of fragrances. That's when the pesky gnats and mozzies leave them to their meditations. At that time of year, at their hermitage of peace, it is now both spring and winter. Now, if only the two could actually be combined into the perfect temperature, the perfect weather, the perfect conditions of the land. The beauty of the cherry blossoms in spring, the cooling breezes of winter, the land would be at its top paradise state all year round. Oh if only winter would let go and leave them be.

He tore his attention away from the pallid moon upon taking notice of a newcomer, her coat nearly as bright at the alabaster orb in the night sky. She appeared oblivious to his presence, but there was no desire to alert her. Maintaining his silence, Hades returned his eyes to the object of his fixation during the night hours. From his eyes, the glow reflected, and it momentarily made him feel alive. His ears did naught but flicker as she piped up, but he did not move his eyes from the bright glow. "It's fine," he said blankly, his voice rather hoarse. It was difficult to talk anymore.

Aurora

(Tis fine.)

While Aurora was relieved to see he wasn't feeling aggressive towards her, his two-word answer sort of killed the conversation. Aurora snorted, lowering her head to drink again. When she was done, she clambered up the bank to lay on the grass, head on her paws as she stared at the moon's reflection in the half-frozen water. The strange calls of the jungle seemed quieter in the clearing. Her eyes slowly strayed back to the male, who seemed to be ignoring her. Okay, there was taciturn, and there was antisocial. Aurora huffed, shaking frost off her fur. She had decided to spend the night in the clearing, and slog her way back home when she could actually see two feet in front of her. She glanced back at the male again.

"So, do you live in this jungle?" she asked. He was either a loner just passing through, or the pack here wasn't as aggressive as she thought they would be. She wondered what the wolves of Atira Clan were doing right now. Probably snug in their dens, she thought ruefully, wishing for her own soft burrow, lined with dry grass and feathers. "Are you part of the pack here?"

She looked up at the stars, the slow conversation giving an awkward feeling. Diamonds in dark-blue silk, the stars twinkled seemingly just above the treetops. As a pup, she had believed she could climb a tree and pluck the jewels from the sky. She had tried it once and nearly broken her neck.

"She speaks." She thinks. She does.

The moon was raised high in wholly, help sharing its light into the night. But for this certain forest, the trees would not allow its brightness to pass. Risa wandered the area in the shadows, keeping her balance on this God foresaken place. Her beautiful, bright, blue eyes shine in the darkness of the forest, she looked more like a large shadow if it weren't for the those luminous orbs of hers. Risa made her way through the woods, the snow seemingly unable to cover up the vegetation that grew endlessly.

The Ethereal Forest, a mysterious place it was. With the cries and shrieks screaming , the glooming darkness that surrounds the area.& the vines that slither like snakes growing from the trees to the ground, the place wasn't exactly welcoming. Although for the most, it would scare alot of foreign creatures that comes here. Risa was an esception. Why? Cause Risa likes the darkness, for reason that's hard to explain; The vines, she thought she could create something out of the long, strong vines; And lastly the eccentric noises, she knew her lion-like roar was more frightening than that though. A strange forest with an even stranger wolf who still hasn't came out of the outskirsts of Torva.
She was a complete stranger in Torva, only been wandering in the outskirts before going in any of the regions.Clueless to say, She's unaware of the dangers that lurks in these woods. She doesn't know about the pack that lives here, she doesn't know the wolves who came here rarely gets out. A mysterious fact that she should have been aware of. Luckily for her, she's on high alert when in a strange place and can easily hide in the shadows with her dark fur color. She was strong and fast too, she wouldn't let anyone nor anything kill her. That fact has already been proven with the scar that adorn her body. Then with a small glance fro her left, she saw the river illuminate with the bight, blue glows and the icicles that formed around it.

.She smiled a bit. Getting herself closer to the river, Risa realized her nose wasn't clogged. Sometimes she doesn't even notice that it isn't, but she did this time. For this time she smelled the scent of two wolves, one to be a female and the other a male. She sneaked stealthily as she came closer to the river. She didn't want anyone to notice her, even though she could be tracked down. Besides, she was just gonna take a drink then leave immediately anyways. She hid herself under the bushes by just a few feet away from the two. She didn't wanna disturb them, she just wanna drink. Dipping her head, she felt the cold water cool her from the inside out.

Graceful paws pressed into the soil of the forest sanctuary, barely leaving a sound as he weaved through the maze of trees. A stranger may find the land to be a labyrinth, but Neptune had spent significant time learning the ways of the forest, figuring out which paths were the easiest to take, and which ones led to hidden wonders. Of course, this meant that patrolling his territory required extra energy, but he would have it no other way. A complex home allowed the Atira to live in peace - for now, anyways. And any loners that managed to get lost in his home would certainly find themselves faced with a dark dilemma, indeed.

Gray-blue eyes nearly seemed to glow in the moon's holy light, narrowed but attentive. Thus far, the night possessed a tranquil air, undisturbed by the chaos that came with daytime. However, Neptune knew the earth far too well to believe that this meant complete peace. Night's peace was merely a facade; creatures going bump in the night could be lurking around any corner. Sure enough, the scents of strangers close to the borders caught his attention. With a soft snort, the large, grey-clad man changed his course toward the edge of his land, wanting to give the strangers a proper greeting.

Voices betrayed their presences before he even saw them. Feminine voices for sure, and unless he was mistaken, there was more than one. Upon padding through a patch of undergrowth, he wandered upon them with a subdued entrance, scanning over each one in turn. Three wolves: two females, one female. Interestingly enough, one of the females' scent was quite similar to the one Athena carried with her. The others lacked an identifying scent, but it mattered not. All he was concerned with was the fact that they were close to Atira's sanctuary, for one reason or another.

"Out for a midnight stroll?" He murmured, eyes slowly turning from one wolf to the next. "Or perhaps, looking for mischief?" He would allow them a chance to explain their intentions before launching into further interrogation.

"Neptune speaks."

Aurora

Aurora jumped as another wolf came into the clearing. A powerful, heavily-built grey male with stormy eyes. Her brow furrowed slightly. Hadn't she seen this wolf before? There had been one similar to him present when she finally came out of the mountains. And a wolf like him at the Monoliths during the eclipse. She wondered if he was the same wolf. His eyes were certainly the right color. As she caught his scent, she just thought she could smell other wolves on him. Was he in a pack? Was he in Atira? He didn't seem to aggressive, but there was a slight tension in his posture. Understandable. Even peaceful wolves were somewhat tense when meeting strangers. It was their nature.

She flicked her tail as he inquired as to what they were doing here. Maybe he was Atira after all. She had heard odd things about the pack, that they were even more xenophobic than Nix'rio. Her muzzle crinkled slightly as she recalled her time there. If This pack was the same way, they would have another thing coming. She resumed what she hoped was a pleasant expression as she answered. "Yes sir, just out for a stroll. I've never been down to the rainforest before, I thought it would be a little adventure." She flinched involuntarily as something screamed in the underbrush. Probably some unlucky prey animal. Aurora's face became a rueful smile. "Of course, I got more than I bargained for. This place is a bit unnerving at night. And wet. Very wet and very cold this time of year. Bout froze my paws off."

She glanced over to the side, over at the oh-so-vocal wolf she had first met. She wondered how he would respond. Her ears flickered as something moved in the bushes near the stream. Maybe some animal coming to drink. She would leave it alone for now.

"She speaks." She thinks. She does.

Living in the present, is doing, yet not doing; existing, yet not existing. Slipping in between the conscious and the unconscious, dissolving into the brilliance of truth. The world, the world! It whirls around him in concentric ripples. On one end, his paradise expands. On the other, however, terror awaits, others threaten. Hades knew well of his near intrusion, it was plastered around the territory in various manners, whether seen or not. His past was gone, the future was unpredictable. He was trapped, they were all trapped, in the present. But living in this present with such a clear awareness as Hades had learned breaks all three time periods asunder. So what was he left with? Nothing. No body. No mind. These lands had cast a net over him, and had chained him to service; like the chains that bind lovers to eternity. They bound him to the endless cycle of deaths. He needed to break clean, but to accomplish such a feat, he would have to bleed the sea dry.

"Maybe once," he replied, the words rough against his throat. "Whatever pack is here now, I am not associated with." He tilted his chin down, now gazing at nothing in particular in front of him. His nose twitched briefly, eyes averting to glance at a nearby bush. From the corner of his eyes, his attention settled there for naught but a few moments. These attentions were drawn away only by the arrival of yet another, so much for sanctuary he had sought. Again, it was only his eyes that found their way to the newcomer, this one male. By theory alone, he was of high rank, his scent identical to that of the very forest they stood in; an inhabitant. "Oh dear, I do believe we have been caught," he replied blankly, though hinting on sarcastic humor. His face, however, offered no smile, nor crease.

Even this small talk was causing his shredded vocal chords stress, and he swallowed the saliva that had collected in his mouth, straining against the scarring on his jugular. "It would be a pity for new company to be wasted on mischief, and I am getting too old to be labeled as such." His tongue ran across the scarring of his muzzle lazily, trailing the various crevices.

She finished drinking the cool liquid before raising her head to look at the night sky. The Moon glimmered so bright and big; the stars twinkled with one/another over hills; the river reflected the rays of the moonlight, making it seem to be glowing. She whispered, "so beautiful", it was the only word that could describe the peacefulness of this very moment. Risa wondered why it was so beautiful and how. 'Being a questionnaire of the night again, are you Risa?', that wasn't an uncommon thing though. Risa always had her curiosity increased during the night. It was a trait she really could not explain. From the beauty that held before her, it inspired her to create another works of art. She thought she could create a spotlight by using a firefly and a big colored leaf designed by using black manganese. That would have been beautiful just as the moon's luminosity upon the area around her.

"Out for a midnight stroll? or perhaps looking for mischief". Those very few words surprised the girl. She quickly stood up, looking behind her or anywhere else. After realizing that no one was really questioning her, she turn to look at the two other wolves through the bush. Risa saw that the new guy was actually just questioning the other two and not her. She sighed in relief, it wasn't like she didn't wanna be caught tough but the man's voice really startled her. She noticed the twisted scar that adorned on the other male's face, it was rather shocking to look at. But since Risa had her own weirdo scar on her face, he quickly got over the fact. She watched as the two explains their reasons here, Risa smiled at the grey female one. She thought it was kinda funny that she was scared of this place. Patiently, she waited for the new guy to respond.
